Smash Hiro — Restaurant in Barcelona

I would not recommend this place to anyone. First of all, you can't call for a reservation, as soon as you get to the restaurant, there is a long queue to get a table. Once you get a table, the person in charge of the queue gives you the menu and does not tell you what to order as soon as you enter the restaurant. The place doesn't invite you to chat with your friends and have a good time, everything is very fast and doesn't invite you to relax. This place perfectly represents what a fast food restaurant is, in 45 minutes, you are finished, in fact, the waitress came to pick up all the stuff as soon as we finished. We ordered fries to share, and they didn't even give us cutlery or chopsticks. Everything is made of cardboard (glasses, plates...), so I don't think they have a concept of sustainability. It is not a place adapted for people with reduced mobility. Lastly, the price you pay for the quality you get seems excessive, extremely high, a menu of 15€ where the hamburger was a dwarf. What surprised me the most was the price of the cakes (6.5€), it was tiny and the quality was not incredible either. Really, a very, very...

Must say the meat is top quality. And the cheescake is veeery good, creamy and it really tastes like cheese. But what follows is not as great:

I ordered the Rocky burger, it tasted nice, the bread was somewhat rubbery. The fries were ok.

We also had the Nachos (not the best) and sweet potato fries, that were swimming in sauce and onion, they were like a paste, and super sweet, as the sauce was sweet, the onions were sweet + the sweet potatoes that were the only thing I expected to be sweet.

It all came in paper boxes, fast food style, a bit inconvenient when you're dining in. For the price, definitely not what I expected.

The decoration is so cool, like a gaming set up, the music also really good, from the 90's and early 2000's. But the place is too dark, I personally like to be able to see if a restaurant is clean.

To sum up, I felt they went for the cheap fast food concept, but also went for the pricing of a fancy burger restaurant.

Vaig anar per petició del meu fill. La coneixia per xarxes perquè fan reptes de menjar. Vam demanar d'entrant unes croquetes. 8-10, petites, mooolt calentes, i amb "màgia": de les que quan mossegues o les trenques, cau el farcit. Bones. Ideals de textura per fora, cruixent, i melosa (1 punt menys consistent que cremosa) per dins. Vam demanar 2 burgers diferents. La del meu fill (macfly) portava enciam, i per això era més fresca... La meva (rocky) la salsa boníssima, molt contundent... Real això de les vores de l'hamburguesa cruixents. Les mans queden absolutament pringoses, perquè el pa, millorable, un pel massa briox, queda empapat. Jo penso que un pa més rústic, amb sèsam li donaria millor acompanyament. Tot i així, mooooooolt bona. De beure jo vaig demanar una cervesa, no vaig veure ni el tirador... Discreta i escassa, el got massa petit. Surt millor el refresc, et donen la llauna, que té més quantitat. Al demanar el combo, la burger s'acompanya amb la beguda i unes patates. Les patates són de tall tradicional allargat, especiades originalment, amb un toc vermellós. Bones. Però no em va agradar que et deixen un sobret de maionesa i un de kètxup marca Heinz. Una oportunitat desperdiciada d'oferir altres salses, ni que fos de pagament. El que menys em va agradar de tota l'experiència és que quan esperàvem a la taula, després de demanar, pagar a la barra, i portar-nos la beguda nosaltres mateixos com t'indiquen, el primer que em van portar és el postre: la tarta de formatge de cabra... En sèrio??? Tant costa controlar quan finalitzi, o deixar un temps prudencial per servir-la i no perdre el punt de fred???? Bé, un "just in time" potser necessari a nivell organitzatiu, però mal dissenyat, i que empitjora l'experiència. La tarta de formatge de cabra, boníssima!!! De textura adequada i sabor definit, gens empalagosa. Com que no sabíem com quedaríem de plens, vam demanar un sol postre per compartir. I vam quedar prou plens, però el postre no va ser cap esforç, i menys quan vam comprovar la qualitat. Doncs tot això per 47 euros arrodonits a l'alça. La consideració de justipreu, no m'atreveixo a fer-la en aquesta ocasió... Els productes eren de qualitat, les quantitats exactes per acabar-ho tot i no deixar ni rastre... I tampoc ens vam quedar amb gana... Però clar, a un menú del dia de 23€ per l'àrea metropolitana també hi pots trobar qualitat, quantitat i pot ser més saludable... No sé, valoreu vosaltres. I...
