Salvaje — Restaurant in Barcelona

The food was good but the service was awful - especially for special occasions like birthdays. I booked a table months ago for my sisters birthday and on that special night (9.6.23), the service didn’t stick to their word of what they offered us. Their offer was: that they will provide a dessert with dancers and a birthday song. But from the beginning on they put us in a corner where we were not able to watch the show. In the beginning they asked us for our order and we needed one minute more. Afterwards the waiter didn’t come back to our table and our limited seats/table were running out of time. In the end we were looking for the waiter and told him/her our orders, so after a short time they brought us our dishes and drinks. Without even being attentive, they were asking us to leave after more like 30-45min. They wanted to come over and pressure us to leave because the time for the table was over. Although their offered present for my sisters birthday didn’t even come!!! We couldn’t enjoy the show properly and at the end when I wanted to tell them that I want to pay and I need to talk to the service privately to pay in a discrete way - they didn’t realized it sadly… my guest and birthday girl were sitting next to me while I was trying to tell the service what I arranged before with the service members (their colleagues). It was awful! After she realized it, she took me to another place where I payed and talked to her about the arranged „present“ which was the desert with the dancers and the birthday song. Since they were rushing on us and wanted us to leave asap, they just brought the dessert and that was it sadly. After I gave the feedback to the waitress (who’s the supervisor of the dancers) to report this issue and complaint, she was very sorry and went directly to the birthday girl and apologized - the problem was that the birthday girl didn’t know nothing about those arrangement since it should have been a surprise…. She also told us to compensate the fault by some shots… how sad and bad…

I’ll never ever come again to this place although the food was good! And most definitely I am not going to recommend it to anybody! Especially for special occasions!

Please be aware that they cannot handle discrete moments. They are not sticking to their words and the experience isn’t relaxed - it’s very stressful because you are limited...

Came here as a party of three for Brunch at around 13:30. Two of us got the bottomless drinks with their brunch meals, I asked to do the same and was told it only works with alcoholic beverages. I have abstained from alcohol for over 14 years, the waitress said that non alcoholic cocktails were included however, so I opted for one of those. Waitress later apologises saying they aren't included but I am being charged for it, stated it was not my mistake and that I said I would pay 15 euros extra for bottomless non alcoholic beverages but not this, waitress states that isn't possible. Our meals came out completely separate from one another. Two of our party finished dessert and I had to stand to get the attention of the waiter who assured me it was still being prepared, it was the same dish as the other two.. The atmosphere of the place was okay other than banging heads on lights and seeming a little cluttered. The food itself was okay also. However, I will finish by saying: I have never been somewhere for brunch and been refused non-alcoholic beverages as part of a brunch menu. I have never seen a brunch menu cost €162 for 3 people who would not cater to the needs of their guests and ensure meals are presented in a timely manner. I have never, other than this instance, been made to pay for someone else's mistake, in this instance, thinking the non alcoholic beverage was part of the package when it was not. Then being made to pay €12(I think, maybe €14) for one beverage which I ordered under false circumstances.

I will not be returning and I will be telling everyone who asks how poor an experience I have had. This is the worst dining...

I was really looking forward to eating at this restaurant, myself and my boyfriend have been in Barcelona for 10 nights and eaten in some of the best restaurants the city has to offer, unfortunately this restaurant was the only one that left a very poor impression on us both. Firstly, for the entire time of our meal I felt as if the waiter was shadowing our table and the minute we had finished a course the plates were immediately removed from the table and the next course was out within 5 minutes. We ordered one starter and 3 mains to share all of which we were served within 30 minutes. The food itself was underwhelming, we chose the wagyu beef fried rice which we both found to be very salty. We also ordered the Roasted King Salmon, again very underwhelming came with a tiny side of some cooked spinach for €24. Unfortunately the worst part of the evening was when we were paying the bill (€156) we were paying in cash in which I gave €180 as I had not properly counted before putting it down. The waiter took the cash and returned with just the bill and said “thank you”. I have worked in the restaurant business and you should always return the change to the customer and allow them then to leave a tip, it’s complete ignorance and ill mannered to do otherwise. I was happy to leave more than 10% as I always do when I eat out, however the assumption to take the money before returning the change was shocking. Overall if you are looking for a lively atmosphere this place is more suited to just drinks instead of food. Extremely...
