On January 1st, we found ourselves visiting Smash House Burger. Here are my thoughts:
The ambience was minimalistic but could also be more of a minimal-effort result. One thing I need to give them is that the space was clean.
Beyond the counter stood a man who could only be described as a complete failure: bald, short, moody, and wearing glasses. He was in a very bad mood from the start, and I was contemplating jumping off a cliff just for crossing his existence. For this special man, a special message:
Hey buddy :) You double-charged us for the ‘special’ sauce, which was supposed to come with the chicken. You got lucky this time, but next time, I will drown you in a bucket of that special sauce if you try something similar.
The wait for the food was special. Seconds turned into minutes, and minutes into lifetimes. At this stage, I was hoping it would all finally be worth it.
The food was okay. The Classic tasted like a Classic should taste, and the Chicken Smash was also good. The chicken fingers aren’t really fingers but big pieces that immediately crumble if there is a soft blow of wind. Also, the sauce thing left a bad taste in my mind.

Read moreBEST BURGERS I'VE EVER HAD, HANDS DOWN. WOWWW. I've had Shake Shack, In and Out, Five Guys, etc but these burgers are the best out of all I've had. My fave is the Smash Bacon burger, love the Smash Classic and Smash House are also up there. The fried chicken is honestly incredible. Super crispy, perfectly spiced and tender on the inside. Hard to do. Most fried chicken end up too dry on the inside when that perfectly crispy on the skin. Service was fantastic, friendly and fast too and the price is unbeatable. I know some friends who are addicted to Smash House, having their burgers 3/4 times a week!! I understand and agree why!! Thanks Smash House, you're in a league...
Read moreThis review is for the chicken fingers: Wow. Just wow. I thought the reviews could have been from friends as there were only 12 at the time I checked, but there was incredibly high praise for the chicken fingers in particular. Considering what passes for the same here, I thought they would at least be good. Wrong- they were the best chicken fingers I’ve ever had, hands down (I’m not embarrassed to admit I’ve eaten a decent amount of them in my life). The chicken was moist and juicy beyond belief (definitely brined), and the breading was light, crispy, and airy, with the perfect amount of seasoning. Prepare to be disappointed by all other chicken fingers after...
