The Lobster Roll Barcelona — Restaurant in Barcelona

I've been waiting for this new restaurant to open for a few weeks; I finally got to try it over the weekend. As an American from the Boston area, I was curious to see how authentic this place would be....I LOVE Lobster Rolls ....and I was not disappointed. I had the "classic" roll made from FRESH lobster shipping in daily from Boston and mixed with the perfect sauce and served on a toasted and buttered roll...some of the best bread I've had in a long time. Very authentic for those who know lobster rolls from New England...a real treat. While it's true that it's not cheap (lobster is very expensive right now)....it was a good serving size to fill me up. The lobster roll (with chips) is 19€, but they also offer crab rolls, shrimp (gambas) rolls and even a barbecue pulled pork roll....all much less cost than the lobster version. Service and place was nice. Small and cozy. The "nappucino", a place to nap in a restaurant, was a little bit unneeded. The food itself was good looking, but taste was bland and too consistent. Not much flavor, bread was probably a brioche but very greasy, adding mayonnaise to make it more greasy. I ordered the lobster XL m, and yes, you could clearly see the meat but it was very bland in flavor. The mayonnaise took over the taste of the lobster. Each bite tasted like grease. And the chips out of a bag aka side dish didn't complement the overall experience at all. They didn't taste at all or didn't bring out more experience to the bites. Good concept, poor recipes. Ordered also the pulled pork with BBQ sauce. All I tasted was bbq with greasy bread. The pork itself didn't have flavor.

Overall this experience wouldn't get me back...

🦞 I tried the lobster roll combo, and while it tasted really good with the option to choose dressing and a tasty bun, I was a bit disappointed by the small amount of lobster given the bun's size. Having chips instead of fries and including mochi in the combo didn't quite work for me (5,5/10)
