Muteki Ramen — Restaurant in Barcelona

It's a charming little ramen spot. My husband ordered the Tantan ramen, and it was quite good with a rich sesame-flavored broth and a kick of spicy chili oil. For travelers looking for something different from tapas, ramen is a great choice.

However, I ordered the Katsu don, and it was a huge disappointment. The rice was bland, even after the server suggested mixing it with the sauce, which also lacked flavor. The katsu, advertised as slow-cooked for 24 hours, was a letdown—completely lacking texture, flavor, and juiciness. It seemed like the meat hadn’t been seasoned properly, and the coating wasn’t crispy at all. Instead, it separated from the meat like wet paper. It was overly greasy and soggy, and the cheap katsu sauce they served on the side wasn’t worth trying.

If you decide to eat here, I strongly advise against ordering the Katsu don. Just don’t.

Was super excited to try this ramen as the reviews are fantastic. Ramen is the type of food that never disappoints to make you satisfied, but not at Muteki Ramen, I left still hungry (I’m a small woman so…) and the flavor was just not good.

It wasn’t bad, don’t get me wrong, but it was not flavorful, typically miso ramens are. Broth tasted like nothing? Just disappointing.

And the cherry on top to a disappointing experience, the server was unwelcoming, and disinterested in her job. She didn’t say hi, bye or thank you. I don’t even remember her saying anything when I placed my order, and the restaurant wasn’t even full.

Overall I can’t help but feel I fell for a tourist trap. I thought by walking a bit further away from the busier areas I’d be...

Design and atmosphere 5 stars already. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food and ingredients authentic and of high quality, made in the house and very well prepared. Gyozas crunchy on one side and soft on the other with the broth meat mixture in perfect harmony. We were amazed by the sauce/vinegar served with the immaculate prepared Gyozas. The Takoyaki just fantastic and homemade ! Miso Ramen yummy... well prepared miso broth with lots of noodles (some of the best I've ever had outside of Japan and I've tried a lot)

For sure one of the best Ramen in town ...you can't go wrong.
