!!!Attention!!! Pls check the Restaurant before dining! We trusted the many positive reviews of the restaurant but our visit by Tulsi Kitchen was really disappointing. At the beginning we unfortunately found out that one of our smoothies tasted very much like washing-up liquid, which made it impossible for us to drink it. Our appetizer (2 tapas) were okay but nothing special. The main course (fortunately we had only one for two) we could not continue eating after tasting. Everything was lightly covered with a sauce that was really disgusting and tasted as if it is bad. After complaining, we were offered to exchange the rice from the meal for a new one. We declined as everything else was also covered with the sauce. Even the ingredients from downstairs tasted very strange. Our table neighbors (the only customers in the restaurant) were also not convinced by the food... these have also let pack the food after a short tasting. After a toilet visit and examination of the restaurant from the inside (exclusively only young, unprofessional men in the kitchen and bar) I was grateful that I only tried the food. Everything looked very old and unkempt. The Soap in the toilet was empty and even the possibility to dry hands was Not offered. Can not understand the other reviews at all. Price performance, totally insufficient and everything made it seem that the money is rather made with other things. I hate to throw away food, but here I was forced to.. What really positive we noticed...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Tulsi, and I can't express how truly exceptional the experience was. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the stage for an unforgettable lunch. Now, let's talk about the food. It's no exaggeration to say that the food at Tulsi was nothing short of incredible. Each dish was a work of art, bursting with flavors that danced on my taste buds. Everything was not only vegan but also incredibly delicious. The thought and creativity that go into crafting these dishes is truly remarkable. Tulsi's dedication to sustainability and using locally sourced, fresh ingredients is evident in every bite. They've elevated vegan cuisine to a whole new level. Even if you're not vegan, I promise you'll be blown away by the taste and presentation of their dishes. In conclusion, Tulsi is a shining gem in the world of vegan dining. The combination of incredibly friendly staff and unforgettable food makes it a must-visit restaurant. If you're looking for an exceptional culinary experience that's not only kind to the planet but also to your taste buds, do yourself a favor and book a table at Tulsi. It's five stars...
Read moretl;dr: really delicious food!
We've been here two times while being in Barcelona and Tulsi was the beat food we found the whole week. They only serve vegan food, lots of it inspired by or taken from various Asian kitchens (like biryani, wok dishes, pakoras or gyozas). I only had different kinds of tapas, so I can only speak for those. But I can wholeheartedly recommend them! Most of the tapas are between 4 and 6€ and a lot of them are again from Asian cuisines. The food came fast and was very good! I especially enjoyed that most of the dishes were not just vegan versions of meat dishes but dishes within their own right and sometimes quite creative. Personal favorites were patatas con cinco hierbas (their own spin on patatas bravas), the dados de berenjena (deepfried, sweet eggplant with tomato marmelade) and the vanilla ice cream with strawberrys, gin and black pepper (a dessert). The drinks are a bit on the pricier side (6,50-8€ for a cocktail, 10€ for a litre of sangria) but even they were really good.
To sum it up: Just a glowing recommendation if you have a little extra...
