If you are staying anywhere near the Sants train station, you should try this restaurant. It was a very pleasant surprise for delicious food that would cost twice as much in NYC. They gave us green olives as a free appetizer. They were a bit larger than the ones one sees stuffed with pimento in a glass jar but the flavor is nothing like those! Not exactly sour but fresh, salty and garlicky. When we asked the waiter about where to get them, I think he told us they made them. I had the breast of duck and my GF had the fish ( I think monkfish -rape in Spanish?). Both plates were presented well and tasted so delicious we asked the waitress to recommend a wine for us as we knew nothing about wines. We liked her choice. I wish I had taken a pic of the bottle.
The service was excellent, Helpful and smiling, the staff actually looked like they liked working there and were happy you were willing to eat there. I asked for 1 business card and got 6.
It was closed on May 1. I'd suggest calling ahead to check.
I'm going back if I ever come to Barcelona again. Feels like a neighborhood family restaurant one wants to give one's...

Food was ok, but I expected more after all this good reviews. Not many locals and the waiter didn't speak much English at all. The boss did, but he was just standing behind the bar. Whe n we went inside, we asked for the menu written outside and got directed to sit down. When the waiter came back later he asked again and we told him about the deal outside the board. After a couple of minutes he came back and told us they don't have that deal (only for lunch) time, but the same for the evening. It would be the same just different tapas. We agreed. He didn't mention the price difference. I asked about the drinks that are included, but he didn't understand (found out later because we had to pay extra for the drinks). From the board outside we expected to pay 10 € each for the menu deal (5 different tapas plus one drink each), instead it got up to a 50 € bill, because we got charged more for the deal and dinks separate. My partner didn't care much...
