Brasas Beer — Restaurant in Barcelona

We had an early dinner at Brasas Beer with two adults and two children. We are from the tapas menu and enjoyed papas bravas, cuttlefish, lacón, and suckling pig. The children ordered their kid's meal which came with a piece of chicken, lightly fried, pasta with sauce, and French fries. The tapas are large servings so for two people we really should have ordered two tapas but it was fun to taste the different offerings.

Pay attention to the menu and what is available. For example, we ordered two beers which were served in a small glass. Later we saw that a larger size was available at a much better price. Also, we head to verify the bill due to a small error which was easily corrected.

If you come before 20:00 you can probably walk right in but after that you will want to have a reservation. Our total bill for four tapas, two kid's meals, four beers, and on dessert was about €77. A little more than planned but...

Very dissapointing expiarience, had high hopes for this place, since the good reviews.

2 times watress came back telling that they dont have our picked dish- first, they didnt have entricote ( had only the expensive beef steaks), second time they didnt have nor salmon tartare, nor pork cheeks. Since the waitress didnt explane why this situation accured, it felt like they tried to push us to order the expensive one. Entrecote de morucha ended up okay, by default they cook it rare and dont ad salt, so if you like it the other way, need to communicate.

As a chef, if this situation happens in our restaurant that we dont have that many dishes, we atleast give something as compliment or explane why.

Also weird that table was dirty before, and waiter just put table-cloth over the dirty table.

Very welcoming restaurant with a warm atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you have a great dining experience. One of the things I really enjoyed is that you can see the kitchen while you eat, which adds a nice touch and shows their attention to quality and transparency. The highlight of the meal was definitely the meat, it’s of excellent quality, cooked to perfection, and full of flavor.
