Tex Mex Gringos-Mexican — Restaurant in Benalmádena

Family of four dining tonight. Our first experience walking through the door was mixed, being told definitely no table free, followed by two will be in 10 mins. The manager seemed somewhat stressed. The restaurant emptied out very quickly. When viewing the menu, my partner asked the waitress a question about the contents of a dish. The manager walking by our table overheard this and started waving his hands in the air, saying during busy periods they couldn't mix up the menu, which is not what we were asking to do. The food was so long coming out, and when it arrived, my two daughter's chips were cold, some chips fully frozen on the plate. The very nice waiter apologised and came with new chips very quickly. The manager came to our table twice and not once asked us if everything was OK. When he came with the bill, €109, he just dumped it on the table and walked away, not a word. Visited this restaurant with a group of 7, we are regulars to the area and have been to the restaurant a number of times and had a good experience. The food to be honest was very good, but be cautious when ordering sides as they are plentiful and could probably be shared by two if not three. The waitress serving us for the majority of the meal was very polite and accommodating. unfortunately our dining experience was then hugely let down by possibly the rudest member of staff we have ever encountered. We had requested for the bill to be split across three cards, his response was “I don’t have time for this” and then through down the card machine. We were in total shock. We went to the manager who seemed apathetic in his apology, the excuse was given that they were very busy and the member of staff was busy, I’d say the restaurant was 1/10 full so hate to think how he’d behave if they were full. So unfortunately we would never go back now and would advice others to do the same as it’s not worth the risk of being served by a petulant and stroppy child or in the case he is reading this a “ Niño petulante...

As a table for 4 adults we dined in at this restaurant. The female host was very accommodating, seating us outside overlooking the marina. From my perception, the manager, english guy with glasses, took our drink order and straight away I could tell his customer service was lacking, absolutely no enthusiasm or interest and appeared stressed. The Nachos were ordered and to their credit, a great portion size and tasted good. Our mains were average as expected with a couple of burgers and Fajitas ordered, no major complaints. Again the customer service from the mentioned employee (manager) Throughout was truly awful, food thrown down and making all members of the party notice. After our meal we sat for half an hour. Nobody cleared our plate or asked if we wanted dessert, which is not good bussiness practice.
