My family and I have eaten here loads of times and every previous time it’s been good. It’s not cheap for what it is, but it is ideally placed and typically cheerful. We’ve never previously had cause to complain. Tonight however we did. We’d ordered the mixed tapas to share alongside some other dishes for the kids. The chorizo came out lukewarm at best, the oil taking on a gelatinous texture, coating tongue and tastebud alike. The waiting staff were nowhere to be seen once the meal arrived and like any parents with kids, sending food back is not really an option if it isn’t immediate. We all tried the dish; I always doubt my own tastebuds and hope I have it wrong. No such luck - it was confirmed terrible - so I thought we’d sort it out at the end. I quietly told the waiter of our experience and pointed to the uneaten dish. He nodded, understanding. He then bought the bill when I asked for it with no apology or recognition of the complaint, and no discount. He knew we weren’t happy - he wouldn’t look at us. I paid, frustration growing, then sought out a man who appeared to be in charge (who confirmed he was the manager). When I relayed my experience he volunteered that we’d had “terrible service”. Then…well, nothing. He looked away into the void, into which their previous reputation was now sinking, clearly thinking their €5 dish was worth eating cold. (The dish was way less than 10% of the bill). The true measure of a business is not when it goes well, but how they act when it goes badly. And my experience would lead me to say that this place is in a great location. After that, if you have other places to eat in a great location, especially if they care for their customers, I’d eat in those places. My experience is eating here will be fine, until it’s not, and then you’ll be left resenting every cent, despite the surroundings. (P.S. I never post negative reviews publicly, without giving the restaurant the chance to act first. You’ll see I did that and...
Read moreNo words to describe the service and food at this place . We had to wait an hour and a half for the food. Not once did anyone come over to us apologising or even keeping us updated on the situation . We sat down at 9pm and got served at 10:30. It wasn’t even full there but their answer was “ it’s busy” when I asked where the food was. The service was so chaotic especially in the kitchen where you can see it from your seats . Everyone looking confused and lost working there trying to keep on top of orders. When the food eventually did come out , Two trays came out with all the food except my dish. When I did get my ribs , the ribs were dry and cold as well as the chips . 20 euro for absolute muck . The place was tacky and a tourist trap really. My family asked for a bottle of wine as they went finished the second bottle . The bottle of wine of course never came and when it did come, it was too late . We told them we didn’t want it anymore but what did they do ? Still put the bottle of wine on the bill . Luckily we always check the bills but we did predict because of our experience , that the wine would be on the bill . I would avoid this place based on our experience. It was sadly the worst dining experience I can recall ever having hence...
Read moreI came here for my birthday with my partner, one of the waiters kept making innapropriate jokes to us and when I told him me and my partner were together celebrating he then questioned our relationship, I wont say anything bad about he food because the chefs did a great job. Howwver the smug arrogant waiter ruined it, at the end of the night my partner went to the toilet and the waiter asked me " are you really together?" when I said yes and explained we were celebrating my birthday and almost 2 years together, he laughed in my face and walked away. I complained to the manager and he also looked at the floor gave me a half apology and the waiter was smirking at me in the background....disgusting appalling and homophobic behaviour
Basically to summarise the waiter flirted with us we rejected his innuendos and innaproriated jokes and when I called him out at the end his manager apologised for him and not the waiter himself. Disgusting and vile, and ghe manager laughed as well. The waiters attitude and desperation to get some attentionfrom both of us ruined our whole evening and celebration. And the managers reaction was disgusting.
I wouldn't eat here again because of the service. Looking back I wish...
