Disappointing Experience – Rude Staff and Poor Food Quality

I recently dined at Restaurante Las Brisas in Benalmádena and was extremely disappointed. While enjoying a seafood paella, I found a rock in my dish. When I kindly informed the staff, the person at the front “Ottoman” I think his name is, was surprisingly aggressive and rude in his response. Rather than apologizing or offering a solution, he dismissed my concern in a very unprofessional manner.

Mistakes happen, but the way it was handled made the experience much worse. I expected better service from a restaurant in such a lovely location. Needless to say, I won’t be returning, and I suggest future diners...

Decided to give this restaurant a try as we gave the others a chance as well. Ottoman the guy at the front seemed friendly and welcoming.

But after waiting almost 30 minutes to get the menu and a long wait time for the meal, two of the BBQ meat dishes were severely undercooked. After ottoman came back to the table and we showed him how undercooked they were - all we asked was to not pay for them. He took it personally and became very rude repeatedly asking "do you never make a mistake?". To say this was rude and unprofessional is an understatement.

Please try other restaurants on the beach such as La Sirena, but don't waste your time or money on this...

What got us to the place was the sales pitch of the super enthusiastic staff out front. He’d spot your nationality and speak your language and walk you to your table without you knowing it. The service was great - quick, polite, everything you’d look for. The food varies between good and great. The sea bass in Malaga sauce and the sardines were very well done and had great flavour.
