Update February 2024: We've visited many a time through the year. The coffee, welcome and service remains great, possibly the best coffee available on the promenade here. Unfortunately, the food is not. I had the gluten free chicken baguette, my wife the salmon bagel. Both the baguette and bagel were rock hard. My wife's bagel could not be penetrated! The gluten free baguette was equally disappointing although I could penetrate it by stabbing at it with my knife - I was so hungry! We left extremely disappointed. The welcome, service and decor out front is still first class, the young woman serving was warm and friendly, it's just such a shame the kitchen falls way below standard.

February 2023: Great welcome and service; the young lad was affable and attentive despite a very busy day with most tables taken. In-house DJ playing all time greats. The location is a regular sun trap despite the cool breeze. Coffees were the best we've had so far in Benidorm. Next time we'll try the food. Great vibe, great location, great tunes, warm and welcoming....

Yesterday, we had a very unpleasant experience at Chiringuito Beach Benidorm. While we were having lunch, a foreign gentleman fell down the stairs, hit his head, and was left unconscious on the ground. The waitresses immediately stepped in and took care of him, even calling an ambulance and staying by his side, which we truly appreciate.

However, what shocked us the most was the behavior of the woman at the bar/cash register. She started yelling at the waitresses in front of all the customers, telling them to leave the man "with those people" and go back to serving tables. Her complete lack of empathy and the way she mistreated her own staff in such a serious situation created an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere.
