Restaurante El Mítico — Restaurant in Burgos

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was bland, poorly cooked, and honestly felt like it had been sitting out for hours. Nothing on the plate tasted fresh. To make matters worse, the service was slow and inattentive.

But the worst part? The state of the restroom. It was dirty, poorly maintained, and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time which makes you wonder about the hygiene standards in the kitchen as well.

Por motivos familiares solemos visitar Burgos y ya habíamos estado en el restaurante el Mítico en ocasiones anteriores. En nuestra visita del 16/03/24 uno de nosotros se encontró indispuesto y para comer solamente requería un arroz blanco. Pese a estar el restaurante con alta ocupación, nos atendieron de maravilla y nos prepararon lo solicitado. Por si ello fuera poco, al presentarnos la factura nos indicaron que el arroz no nos lo cobraban. Cuando vamos de viaje uno de los atractivos es comer bien (y mira que Burgos tiene también otras fortalezas como es el arte), pero cuando nos encontramos mal lo realmente importante es el trato que recibimos. Nuestro más sincero agradecimiento al personal del restaurante el MÍTICO, porque si bien su local, su comida y su ambiente es fantástico, lo que realmente destaca es el trato dado por su personal. Terrible food and service. The waiter took advantage of our poor Spanish and started bring dishes we had not ordered. Once we realized what was going on the original waiter disappeared and we never saw him again. Ended up being the most expensive meal of our trip and at best the food...
