I was a single diner, looking for a quick and cheap meal after an upset stomach earlier in the day. How bad could the 9.9E menu be? Not bad at all. The salad was well above average, and the calamari was cooked perfectly. Absolutely perfectly. Kudos to the chef. A mention in despatches goes to the livewire front of house fellow, who is the embodiment of what the job requires. Dessert was just ice cream, but, with money no object, I lashed out an additiona1.95E on the house PX sweet wine. The wine sang. I would like to recognize two nice young ladies, Naiara and Simona.Their friendliness and patience saved my evening. First of all, the food is fantastic, I even ordered three plates! The calamari in green sauce I especially recommend. Today, I met some unfriendly people in Cordoba that made me disappointed in the city. And the presence of two ladies saved my impression of Córdoba. They gave me reasonable advice on food choices and had exceptional service. A Find! Tasteful Foodie destination amongst heavy competition. Wandering this busy area with TONS of little Tabernas and Tapas joins trying to lure you in, you can get overwhelmed. The reviews on El Albinico were good, so we tried it out. Excellent! The Salmorejo here was light and tasteful with just a hint of sweetness. (Better and less heavy than the other Mesquita chain with all the reviews). We also enjoyed the Aubergine (fried eggplant) with honey and cheese: excellent and fresh, lightly fried, hot to the table and well-seasoned.
