My partner and I had a wonderful dinner here and will definitely return in the future! We had the garlic prawns and assorted croquettes to start and then shared a seafood paella and all the food was delicious and seasoned perfectly! The presentation was also beautiful and a lot of effort went into the service - the paella was dished for us very thoughtfully, we were given finger bowls and aloe wipes for our hands, and we got a complimentary aperitif after our coffees. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and our waiter really appreciated my partner's attempts to speak Spanish. Tried this place early in the evening. Not too many others there & having tried the food I’m not surprised! We ordered from their daily specials menu & there wasn’t a whole lot ‘special’ about them! The salmon croquettes were cold on the inside, the crispy prawns were nice, but more artistic presentation than effort on the coating!(crushed cornflakes!) The grilled hake mains was a severe disappointment- cold & served on 4 slices of burnt potatoes! The surf & turn consisted of under-seasoned (none discernible!) steak & 3 rubbery prawns! Before you come here check other 1 star reviews and you’ll notice a pattern that unfortunately is the truth. Fish wasn’t fresh, rice overcooked and the waiter (who I assume is Manolo) was disappointed by hearing our opinion on his food and denying what was evident. He had us pay one paella instead of 2 to make up for the experience we had. What’s sad is that the review score here on Google has fooled us. Either tourists haven’t got a clue or the staff is pushing to have people leave good reviews. We had paella in Andalucia and Barcelona and this is not even remotely close.
