We had been here before and it was excellent…

Our visit yesterday 17/07/23 was not a good experience at all I have to say.

First and foremost good polite and efficient service is key in my book and it fell down here badly. The woman member of staff serving us was bad, very bad. In fact bordering upon rude, what a shame.

So anyway, this staff member set the tone for a pretty awful experience and I’m now not at all surprised that the place was empty, even on a Sunday lunchtime.

Coming to the food….my wife had the Greek toast and did not enjoy it one bit. The avocado had been mixed with horseradish and this paring just didn’t work, she didn’t enjoy it at all. The staff member asked if everything was okay and was told about it and just responded ‘oh I see’ and left. Mum had the koftas she said they were okay, but wasn’t that happy and left most of it. I had the yellow curry and it was good, but because of the atmosphere it took any enjoyment away.

We left feeling unimpressed, went somewhere else for some drinks and had a great afternoon.

We visited the restaurant for the first time with friends and our children. Overall, we had mixed feelings about our experience. The food was very good and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. However, the organization seemed quite chaotic. We waited for more than an hour for our meals, and the two people working in the kitchen appeared overwhelmed — they were doing their best but clearly couldn’t keep up with the number of orders. It was also quite difficult to get the attention of the staff, and at one point we even witnessed a disagreement between the owner and one of the cooks in front of the guests. Based on the reviews I had pretty high expectations, which unfortunately weren't met. While I understand it's in a nice and fancy area, my feeling was they try to greedily extract the most money possible out of you for small things. First of all, it seemed like a problem that each of us didn't order an overpriced starter along with the main dish. A bottle of filtered tap water is 6,50 €. On top of that they charge a service fee which I've never seen before in any restaurant in Spain and they expect a tip at the end?
