Simars Spice village Indian Tandoori Restaurante & bar — Restaurant in Calvià

I’ve been eating here in this particular branch of the restaurant chain every Wednesday since it opened just over a month ago. I will be totally honest, the 1st meal I had here didn’t impress me at all… it was (lamb Jalfrezi) extremely oily & the rice was very bland. But, I thought I would give it a 2nd chance!!…& I’m SO pleased I did! Every week the dishes have got better. I’ve tried 5 different dishes from the Mixed Tandoori, to the Lamb Palak, & everyone has been excellent 👍 The waitresses are very polite, friendly & attentive. The portion sizes are very good (this includes the wine😊). I have been enjoying Indian food now for over 40 years & I have had some exceptional meals, especially here on the island of Mallorca in various restaurants, but I shall now rate this as 1 of the best in the area! Everybody’s taste differs when it comes to food, you can only give it a try and judge for yourself. I will post some photos at a later date, but to be honest, I was too busy enjoying the meal. We originally went to a restaurant just further up but the service was shocking so we left and came here instead and it was a perfect decision.

Yes it looks very unassuming but the food was perfect. The waiter is a true gent, my sons have been learning Spanish while we've been here but the waiter was teaching them Punjab and they loved it.

The food portions are just right, my kids wolfed there meal down which is unusual whenever we eat out.

It is a little further out of the way of the main strip but to be honest I preferred that as it was nice and peaceful.

We came across this beautiful looking restaurant. The food was absolutely out of this world. The Service, the waiters were so helpful so polite it was really a good atmosphere. Enjoyed the ambience, couldn’t praise enough Very reasonably priced quantity of food was more than we could handle. Would recommend this beautiful to anybody and everybody, you have to go there and Enjoy your experience of having Indian food with the real open Kitchen where you can see your food being cooked fresh in front if your eyes.
