Blackbeard´s Beach Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Calvià

Tried to visit this place with my partner and mum we had walked from palma nova when heavy rain hit and we got drenched but thought the food would be worth it. When we arrived a gent told us that they were not taking anyone for 20 mins we said thats fine and stood to one side as there was not other people waiting and we were not told where to wait or given a buzzer. Then a lady came over and said just to let you know we are an outside establishment and there may/will be drips where ever you sit we were about to say that's fine we understand when a old blond lady walked over and so very snotty and attitude filed said. gents name has already told these we are not taking people for 20 mins whilst giving me the most filthy glare looking me up and down and there still here. She then turned on her heels and left. The lady that was explaining about the drips looked rather uncomfortable and I said well that was very rude and she said that it was out of order the way she had just spoken to us I said I wanted to speak to the manager as we would now not wait for the table and would leave she insisted she was the manager and not give the name of staff member but said she may have had a bad day and the customers are rude with the rain I asked if I have been rude and explained that we were to one side, not told where to wait etc and she said no but she's not very bothered and nothing she wanted to do about it.

As I said we were happy to wait as we told the 1st person and the second we'll we tried before the rude lady butted in. Also maybe if you would be professional enough to give staff names then people would not have to use a description to warn others of what they can expect from certain staff members. Overall quite overrated. The dinner Cajun chicken salad and nachos were decent, not excellent just fairly average food. Had been here the night before got a blondie for dessert that was tasty. Upon the return for dinner tonight I ordered the same blondie for dessert and it was was clearly raw/ not cooked enough as it was meant to be a cake consistency and was almost liquidy batter. The service was terrible with many staff standing around talking and multiple tables in my area attempting the flag people down to be able to order and pay. Had to flag our waitress (young red hair) twice to get the bill as the first time she told us to wait and then did not return for 20 minutes as we watched her walk around, talk to other staff, check on other tables in a different area - it was not very busy anyway. As we were going to pay the bill we raised that the dessert was not cooked so was not edible as it would of contained raw egg and she said that it was not their fault as they only warm the dessert up they don’t cook it. This is not really acceptable to me as they should be ensuring they aren’t serving raw food whether they are making it or not. No apology was given and were made to pay for the dessert despite this. We visited 10th June 2025. Some staff friendly others seemed less than interested to he serving people.

Our food arrived in good time. 2 x bowls of pasta for the kids. €7 each 1 x stake and half rack if ribs chips and coleslaw.€31 1 x stake chips and coleslaw. €24

The kids pasta turned up barley warm which we found odd but wasn't an issue as they enjoy it on the cool side.

We tucked into our food and both stakes were just warm the ribs again barley warm.

I told a waiter who waved over a dark haird woman (presumably of a higher position) i let her know the issue.

She said ill warm them... assuming that was the spanish translation for "sorry I will get you a hot replacement."

Well i was wrong. Mine and my wife's plats returned with the ribs and chips pushed to one side and the chips on my wife's pushed to one side. (Now cold may I add.)

The ribs still cold and both steaks slightly warmer by no means hot. I'm guessing a quick flash on the grill.

To summarise for 96.50 ish euros (£81.79) I'm very disappointed and the blatant lack of care is disgraceful.

If the food was hot this would have been a 5* review.

My advise is pay half as much and get some hot food one street back with...
