I really have mixed feeling about this place and I’ll tell you why.

We ordered the steaks and one starter. The starter with cold meat was great. I love that. First time to try cold cooked meat in this style and it just tastes sourish and meaty. Not sure what type of meat was that though!

The steak quality was a bit questionable. The meat quality was far from being good. Especially somewhere in Spain where there are many good quality meat. By not good quality I mean it was chewy. It tastes okay and it cooked as expected, but it was super chewy. There was a thin skin on top of the meat which makes it that way. Taking the skin out is also a hell of the job!! Although it was still noticeable.

The people working there were lovely. Super friendly with customers. It seems they try their best.

Price wise, it was cheap. 11euros for steak definitely is less...

A wonderful find. They have to serve food if you sit in so we started with two super empenadas. One beef and one chicken. Washed down with a couple of copa vino blanco. Had intended to head off for a meal. Good takeaway spot as well. Ended up with Booth ordering the whole bottle and more empanadas. ( Salteña is a Cornish pasty..Capresse more cheesy and basil. Then...Jamon y Queso and finally Atún.) Shame daughter is off with Madge as she knows South America quite well and could compare...these are the best we have ever had.) This place is a hiden gem of Girona when it comes to food for me. When you compare prices, quality and taste it's the best choice for you. We have ordered Entrata A la Parrilla as a main dish for both of us, as a starter Tongue to Vinagrette and two glasses of white local wine. All of this were extremely good, steak was well seasoned and not gummy. Tounges in vinagrett well gives you very fresh feelings before main course. I would definietly came back here next time in Girona to try different...
