The tradition is that to be a good Geron, where if the we come from elsewhere, like me from Belgium, you have to touch or kiss the posterior .... it had frozen this morning .... the microbes were dead ... and the legend says that if you do not do not, we will not return to Girona .... I was the only one of the group to do it .... and I have a great desire to come back .....

La tradición es que ser un buen Geron, donde si el venimos de otros lugares, como yo de Bélgica, tienes que tocar o besar el trasero ... se había congelado esta mañana ... los microbios estaban muertos ... y la leyenda dice que si no lo haces no, no volveremos a Girona ... Read moreI need to say this. They told me to wait outside couple of minutes until a table is free. I did that. And after 30min they told me that they don’t have time anymore.. when I came it was 1:20h before they are closing, and by then it was still almost an hour. And they could tell me before, not making me wait in the winter time for 30min outside. At this time is already hard to find a restaurant open, so I was left alone hungry. It happened to me already twice that I wanted to go there and I couldn’t eat because they somehow rejected me.. really bad experience, just not treating other person nice and respectful. I live in Girona and they could have had a regular customer, but in this case, I will never go...
Read moreIf you ever find yourself walking down Placa Sant Felix and happen to pass L'hostal de la Lleona, take a moment to look for stone column with a sculpture of a decorative lion, that looks like it’s climbing up. Kiss that lion's behind cause it might just save your life. No … just kidding. This is another one of those rub/kiss a sculpture thing that supposedly brings good luck. Go ahead if you believe in that kind of thing.
There's also a plaque near the lion describing I think the origin of this superstition...
