The food was very bad for the price. I had the lamb shoulder and it was burned at the bottom. We couldn’t eat somewhere else and were hungry that why we ate the most but if we had the option to go to another restaurant then we would have left this place immediately. My daughter had a tagliatelle with mushrooms but we had to add a lot of salt to it because it was tasteless. My wife had a turbot with so many garlic and the patatoes were baked so hard that it was not eatable. Also they were drowning in oil. During our meal two of the staff members were talking about us and looking. That’s gave us a very unpleasant feeling like if we weren’t welcome. Never for us this restaurant again! Some of the staff members throw with the knives, forks and plates on the table like if they want to have you gone. This restaurant gets a 0 from us! We have been eating in a lot of restaurants in Gerona but this was the...
Read moreI almost never leave a bad review, however I’m compelled to do so. Let me start with the pros: Very cute setting. Our party of 4 was seated on 2 love seats - so cozy. I also love the interior decorated tastefully and with attention to detail. The location is also perfectly situated at the entrance of the old city. Aside from the above + the rest is all cons: if you like your hot entrees and mains to be served hot - run. The veal cheek and the side of mashed potatoes came very cold. The vegetable plate (potatoes and asparagus) was also cold. Where are the flavors that make Catalan food so special? If you’re not ok with bland food - avoid. Thé Arroz Negro (typically one of my favorite dishes) was practically tasteless. The aged beef was okayish. It serves 2 and this was the only item that came hot. I can’t recommend this place due to the lack of...

I was tempted by this restaurant as it looked upmarket.
The scallops starters were inconsistent. Some scallops were slightly overcooked, and some slightly undercooked. The sauce to be fair was lovely and masked the difference.
However the main court of arroz a Ilauna, was very disappointing. There was a tiny solitary prawn with another prawn carpaccio, and rice. Nothing else! The rice was again overcooked, and the flavour was average. For €26, I expected more, based on much better rices and paellas in the area.
After spending nearly €60 on this, i remain hungry and left for a better, cheaper restaurant nearby.
To be fair the decor was lovely, and they had a lovely red Ribera del duero by the glass. Come here for this if this is what you are looking for. But beware food was overpriced...
