We needed to find bocadillos or something to take out for our car trip, and we popped in here to ask if they could do it, even though it was well before lunch time. They said they could. So we ordered a juice and coffee at the bar while they made the sandwiches. It took a long time for the sandwiches, perhaps because we were so early and they were still readying the place for lunch. The bocadillo dominicas was fine, but the don pepito had a slice of thick, tough, seemingly microwaved meat in it.
The bar surface was dirty and still had used glasses on it from a previous customer. The floor needed a good mopping and one of the staff didn't seem to mind picking up stuff from the floor and then touching the food.

Read moreAs an intro- the menu del dia price has two options- one advertised, one hidden and the one we had to pay (supposedly for foreigners) Secondly they recycle one-time tablecloths(!), I personally saw British guests leaving and tablecloth being put back where it came from. Thirdly - when I finished my starter I left the cutlery on the plate.. the waitress while taking back the empty starter plate, has put back the used cutlery on (supposedly from what I've seen on next table) dirty one time tablecloth (!).. All in all - terrible, worse so far place we visited. In Spain, but likely one...

We asked if any dish in menu of the day could be made vegetarian but that was not possible. I ordered the onion soup and it tasted good and it was quite filling. The Alhambra beer was amazing.
However for my partner, the menu del dia took time to be served. The main dish of albondigas was not that great as the tomato sauce in it did not have much taste and felt like ketchup. Though menu del dia is value for money as you can get starters, main dish and a...
