We had a great time here, our tour guide Álvaro is very knowledgeable and happy to share his experience surrounding the Foundation itself, art history, architecture, philosophy and culture in Granada. He also speaks great English! This was a really nice complement to the visit to the Alhambra; seeing a different architectural style from another period in Granada is interesting, and having a small tour group (with a great guide) and experiencing the tranquil surroundings of the Foundation as Jose María intended is certainly different from the big crowds at the Alhambra. We were originally not sure about adding the Foundation to our itinerary but now it is one of the highlights of our visit in Granada. Thanks...
Read moreWow, it is a hidden gem of Granada. I bought ticket as combined ticket to Alhambra (it was the olny one left). I didn’t really know what to expect, but what a place. The architecture and each detail to be perspective I can even describe how good it was. I had a wonderful guided tour in English (really good one) and at that time I was there only one so a private tour It was about that time as I was told (you know siesta at 14) but this is open whole day. I’m so glad that after half day at Alhambra I didn’t skip this remarkable place. I recommend this stop to everyone who like architecture (not only them but everyone) a buy this as option with Alhambra or go by yourself and enjoy. You won’t regret it....
Read moreWhat a beautiful home and gardens of this Spanish artist. So much thought went into the design and planning of the spaces. Entry is 5€ for the guided tour. Olivia, our guide, provided so much information about the building, the artist, and his life. There are more areas available to see at certain times (underground spaces and the library). The gardens have many statues, some created for the home, others older. Very beautiful views out over the city. Because tours are guided, consider booking tickets to know your start time. We just happened to show up 5 minutes before the last tour of the day.
