I really like chicken shawarma wraps. I got hooked on them when I was working in Western Turkey. In the past couple of days, I’ve had several of them from Damasco’s and I must say that they are as good as I’ve had anywhere - fresh ingredients, warm and very tasty. I would’ve had another today, but we are departing Granada at noon and the restaurant doesn’t open till 12:30 PM. The falafels themselves are homemade by the super lovely guy who runs the place (who was v tolerant of my appalling Spanish), you can see him make them into little balls from the paste then deep fry them… delicious houmous to go with it… then fresh mint(!!!) mixed in, which really puts the cherry on the falafel cake.
