Read moreThe restaurant itself is nice enough, when you walk in, it smells appetizing The staff at the entrance greeted us politely, which gave a good first impression. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Our family of three started with soup, but each bowl was served with a long delay between them – my husband received his last. He barely had a couple of spoonfuls before his main dish was placed in front of him 🙄. My plate came much later, and our son’s after an even longer wait. There was no sense of coordination or professionalism – surely it’s basic knowledge that the whole table should be served together. For the main courses, my husband ordered a Syrian kebab, our son chose shish tavuk, and I had fried kibah with stuffed grape leaves. Sadly, the food was bland, clearly reheated in a microwave – dry and half-cold. To make matters worse, we were charged for items we had never ordered and never received. And as if that wasn’t enough, the bill was presented only in Arabic, which made the whole experience unnecessarily inconvenient and frustrating.
Overall, the place might look pleasant from the outside and smell inviting at the door, but the reality is disappointing. Poorly prepared food, disorganized service left us with no...
Read moreI've never written a review for anything but I like this place so much I think they deserve it. The food is outstanding and the pricing is more than fair. It is a family run place, clean, colorful, quiet and friendly. It wasn't crowded and the service was attentive without being pushy. It is not at all pretentious. I'm travelling alone and liked being able to eat excellent food without feeling rushed or pressed in any way. The menu is simple and straight forward. Everything on it is well prepared and delicious. It is close to the center of town. I've been there twice and expect to go there for dinner again tomorrow. Tonight I was starved, ordered a salad, a veggie entree, a chicken entree, tea, a coffee, and a mango juice and the bill was just 21 euro but the owner only charged me 20. For a taste of home cooked Syrian food you can't do...
