I recently had the pleasure of dining at this remarkable restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting ambiance. Not to mention the enchanting view of La Alhambra by night.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the paella! It was absolutely divine. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, and every bite was a tantalizing journey of taste. The rice was cooked to perfection, and the seafood was fresh and plentiful. It's safe to say that this was the best paella I've ever tasted!
The attention to detail in every aspect of our meal was exceptional. The presentation of the dishes was a work of art, and the service was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, making us feel like valued guests throughout the entire dining experience.
Beyond the culinary delights, the ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment. The decor was elegant yet comfortable, creating an atmosphere that was ideal for savoring the meal and creating lasting memories.
Whether you're a local or a visitor, I highly recommend treating yourself to their delectable paella and experiencing the hospitality that makes this place truly special. It's an absolute gem that deserves all the praise...
Read moreWorst salad I've ever tasted cost 13€!
I've been in Spain 6 weeks and the only decent food I've had was Chinese so I thought, 'maybe I need to go to a more expensive place'
This place looked very promising, and had high ratings, jazz music, great view of the Alhambra, English, French menu translation, nice decor, etc.
The salad was advertised with ingredients that I usually love: greens, nuts, goat cheese, pomegranate, bacon. What could go wrong? Plenty.
To start with, though I'm mostly vegetarian, I do like bacon sprinkled, sparingly, on salad. This salad was about 35% 'bacon' - not the nice crunchy kind I was expecting, it was 1/4 inch cubes of the fattiest, saltiest ham I've ever tasted - completely overpowering.
I tried to pick around this horrible meat but the rest of the dish was drenched in extremely sweet and salty pomegranate dressing.
The goat cheese was the saltiest goat cheese I've ever tasted (nothing like feta, which I love, and not like other nice Spanish goat cheese I've eaten).
The greens were only arugula, which is bitter, and no lettuce or anything to take the edge off. Even the walnuts seemed like they had been salted.
Beware: since this place is rated one of the best, the safest thing to do is probably to avoid Spanish cooking altogether and stick with...
Read moreWe were eager to eat at Ruta del Azafran after it kept coming up as one of the best restaurants in town. We found the restaurant completely empty at lunch time but turned away for lack of reservation but we were able to obtain one for dinner the same day. I wish I could say it was a great experience, a cold stare as a welcoming set the night in the wrong note. Our waiter was mostly missing in action, not because it was busy, there were only 4 other tables; after long 15 minutes finally approached our table to take drink orders and water finally arrived to the table. The view of the Alhambra are amazing. The food: The Gazpacho is a must to have, silky in texture with a fresh onion and vegetable flavor profile. The fish soup is a delicious and mild seafood broth. Steak: here is were we had an issue, requested Medium Well and came to the table almost raw, back to the kitchen then back to the table Medium Raw at that point we requested Well-done to end the ordeal. A complimentary glass of wine was brought to the table along with an apology from the waiter. Left the restaurant still without a thank you or good bye and with a feeling that we were not...
