SUSHI-YA — Restaurant in Granada

What’s with all these hygiene reviews? I was reluctant to order from here at first but since I’m too lazy to walk far to get food, I decided to give it a go. Yes the owners are not the most friendly but it’s typical from Chinese customer service… but he was wearing gloves and the most important thing: SUSHI WAS GREAT! Fresh and not mushy. I’m a die hard eater of sushi, I’m willing to try out all kinds of sushi places (from expensive to cheap ones) so as a traveler who loves sushi, I’m confident to say their sushi does not deserve a 1 star... Poorly made makis and California rolls. The rice doesn't hold up and isn't the usual sushi rice. It falls down into pieces before you get it to your mouth. The tuna texture wasn't great, probably because if wasn't from noble cuts. Overall, they tasted very neutral and even with sauce they weren't tasteful. We could enjoy them so we left some for the next day but they weren't edible and tasted badly. Too bad because the restaurant has overall a good note but maybe we weren't lucky...

Hemos pedido 1 menú de 24 piezas, 1 arroz con pollo y curry, 8 makis de aguacate y salmón y 6 gyozas. El arroz pasado y con demasiado sabor a dulce. El pescado del sushi muy fino. Los 8 makis en vez de aguacate los han mandado con Philadelphia (error grave) la cuál no me gusta nada. Las gyozas regulares, estaban muy resecas por la parte de arriba. También la salsa de soja no era la de verdad, era una salsa de soja dulce y sin mucho sabor. Todo esto al menos era comestible aunque mejorable. Pero el gran problema ha sido el arroz con curry y pollo. Incomestible. Decir que no hemos visto arroz por ninguna parte, más bien parecia una especie de pasta hecha de pepino y pollo con un ligero sabor a curry, soso y con un sabor bastante malo. Lo hemos mezclado con arroz blanco que había en casa y tampoco. En ningún lado decía que llevase pepino ni que fuese caldoso o como una sopa. Muy decepcionado. No repetiremos. No merece la pena que sea más barato cuando tienes otros japoneses como aisushi o takeme mucho mejores. Espero que desde el establecimiento tomen nota y pongan más cuidado tanto en los envíos como en la descripción...
