Our hotel, Seda Club recommended this restaurant for seafood. We arrived at 20:45 for our 21:00 reservation. The restaurant was quiet and we waited 5 minutes for someone to greet us at the host/hostess stand. The fellow guided us upstairs to a table in the corner which would have had one of us looking at a wall. The dining room had only 2 tables occupied. We asked the fellow to be moved to another unoccupied table. He told us in a disgruntled and unkind manner that they were all reserved. Not happy and feeling unwelcome, I found a table in the bar and we sat there. Once I collected my thoughts, because I a felt a zero amount of hospitality there, I decided that we shouldn’t eat there. We had a delicious seafood dinner at El Rincon de Rodri, a more casual but higher rated restaurant less than a 10 walk away. The hospitality experienced there by the entire staff was exemplary. I told the concierge at the Seda Club that they not recommend Tinta Fina to on their guests.
While I appreciate your response to my review of your restaurant, I must address the inaccuracies in it: the Seda Club made the reservation for us. there was no one at the host/hostess stand when we arrived and we waited as much as 5 minutes to be checked in. indeed we were brought to a table that had one of the two seats facing a wall. I don’t know about most diners but, I don’t favor looking at a wall while dining. I promise that we were not offered any other tables. We were emphatically told that all of the open tables (there were only a couple occupied) were reserved for other patrons. I was not offered another table downstairs in the bar. Rather, I chose the table and was told we could sit there. we decided to leave because we felt totally unwelcome at your restaurant.
You never get a second chance to make a good first impression. Note that most every review I leave is a very positive one. Unfortunately, my short experience at your restaurant was a negative one. I will be sure to talk to the concierge at the Seda Club to reinforce the facts of...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to a special meal here. A great selection of oysters on the menu (The main reason we chose to book here). We booked a table, and arrived at our booking time. We ordered from the menu (I ordered Oysters) and were later told that they had No Oysters. This was beyond dissapointing for an establishment who has such an extensive menu for Oysters. It was too late to find somewhere else to eat, so we decided to order something else (Scallops - which were good). I also ordered Solomillo (Fillet steak, although was translated incorrectly on the menu as Sirloin?), I requested my steak to be "Medium", it came "blue", I sent it back and it returned as "rare". I did not want to send it back a second time, as my wife had already eaten her main course. I asked if I could speak to a manager, but, was told he wasn't there and was at "the other restaurant". I have to say that the front of house staff were very good, but, a chef who cannot cook a steak is not a chef, and an establishment of this standard with no manager available is very dissapointing. Not a cheap meal, but, very sub standard food. It really was such a shame as this should have been an amazing meal, in a lovely atmosphere, but, we were terribly dissapointed mainly due to very poor availability of food and the chefs inability to cook a medium steak after 2 attempts. (The picture, shows the steak after it had already been sent back, a novice can see this is far...
Read moreI found this restaurant in google. I found a photo of a plate of octopus (photo 1) I asked the waiter if it's possible to have the same one. Then I show him the menu and ask him to show me which one it is. It's cost around 24€. In the menus this plate is a starter but I found out quite big. So I ask him if it's possible to have something light with it because I was eating alone and I thought the octopus would be enough since its quite a lot. Finally the plate is coming (photo 2) I directly notice it's not the same. My mistake was to not asking why isnt coming like the photo. I thought maybe the plate in the photo was for 2 people or maybe he missunderstand me when I said, i'm not too hungry... Then the bill comes and the price of the octopus was 24€ I asked him how comes I pay the same since it's not the same quantity... He told me it is the same quantity... I was so surprised because anyone who see those photos wouldnt believe its the same amount. Be aware if you are traveling there, because they are acting really bad with tourist. Very arrogant staff and of course no manager when I asked to talk to him... Worst experience in a...
