I love Indian food so had high hopes for this new restaurant and have eaten there twice. The first time I ordered chicken Biriani and it was fine actually, even if the chicken was a little dry and not much sauce provided. The service was a little inattentive but i thought it was worth another shot.
The second visit was a shocker sadly. It took over 20 minutes just to make an order and a whole hour to start eating... I was a table of one. Other tables had done the right thing and just left whilst others had to be offered drinks by the excellent Italian waiter who was trying his best but couldn't take food orders...
The food was OK, but not much chicken provided and what was used was again a little dry. The sauce was tasty and the rice decent. The chapati was like cardboard... surely not freshly made?
The manager took nothing off the bill... he obviously felt everything was in order. I didn't and left grumpy and let down.
I want this place to succeed but will leave it a few months for them to sort their service out and hopefully improve the food a little - including more generous portions of meat. My worry is the constant flow of annoyed tourists will still give it enough business to paper over the cracks. lets see... for now, if you like Indian food beware of the glowing references or go when it is...
Read moreThe stuff is very kind and okay. The food is awful and I cannot understand those positive reviews here. Those people had never tried good indian food probably. I know that is very difficult to find a good restaurant on Tenerife. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it at this Indian restaurant too. Masala was the most baddest I've ever ate in my life. Like mixed with water and ketchup. The portion was VERY SMALL which is so bad compared to the price (15 e for the portion - lol?). You need order two portions to get full yourself. Also, the Mango Lassi was like Danone yogurt from Lidl - the taste was very bad and sweet and also overpriced.
I think if you like good food and you tried good indian food before then you should to skip this one bcs that one is just rip off from your wallet and the quality of food is less then average.
Make better food, cheaper prices and should be fine in the future.
I don't recommend...
Read moreWe had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at this Indian restaurant in Tenerife. From start to finish, everything was flawless.
I ordered the chicken tikka with butter masala sauce — it was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and smoky, and the sauce had the perfect balance of creamy and spicy. My partner had the channa masala, which was equally delicious — hearty, well-spiced, and packed with flavor. We shared a kulcha naan, which was fresh, fluffy, and perfect for soaking up all the amazing sauces.
To top it all off, the cocktails were incredible — beautifully presented and expertly made. They really added a special touch to the evening.
Highly recommend this place if you're craving authentic Indian food with a touch of elegance. We’ll...
