We regularly used to go to the " old" Titos and was worried that it wouldnt be as good. However new owners surpassed all expectations. The menu is similar to before and what you get is excellent. Our different dishes were cooked to perfection. We had a selection of starters, bread & dips, prawns, tuna , croquettes, padron peppers, followed by mero, salad and canarian potatoes. We were ordering more, but the delightful waitress thought we had ordered enough ...and we definately had! However there was none left at the end, but we did over indulge, as it was all so delicious!" The house wine is by the bottle, and is local Canarian, again excellent. One of our group had a tinto verano, it definately was not weak or tasteless!! We had a really super evening, the staff are delightful and the food excellent. I visited this restaurant with a friend and had a very disappointing experience. We ordered a salmon lasagna, garlic prawns, and a beer. Instead of a regular beer, we were served beer mixed with Sprite, which was never mentioned. Additionally, a bread basket with sauces was brought to our table, which we didn't order, and we were charged for it without any prior communication.
The salmon lasagna was terrible and far from fresh. It was swimming in a cream sauce that tasted like it had been sitting for several days. When we pointed out that we hadn't ordered the bread and still had to pay for it, the waiter was dismissive and showed no understanding. He walked away without even saying goodbye.
The garlic prawns were okay.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and we definitely won’t...
Read moreIf you happen to be Los Abrigos visiting the quaint harbour and enjoying the numerous amazing beach coves, Restaurante Tito is the place to be. There is no menu and what you do is to order the fresh seafood directly from the counter and the chefs cook it to order for you. We had the seafood platter for two which includes a wide variety of fish, prawns, small squids, mussels, croquettes, grilled padron peppers, Canarian style potatoes, a beer or housewine for only 29€ for two. Other mates ordered individual types of seafood and their bills come out very reasonable too. If you love your seafood, don't give this local favourite a miss. It's fresh, authentic and a lot more satisfying than the usual tourist traps...
