SABOR PORTUGUES A Taste of Portugal
If you're looking for a true culinary gem, look no further than this delightful restaurant run by the wonderful Mr. Antonio and Mrs. Gina. Their passion for Portuguese culture shines through in every dish they serve, making you proud to savor the flavors of our heritage.
I had the pleasure of enjoying the "bacalhau com natas" (cod pie) and the "chanfana" (lamb stew), both of which were absolutely delicious. Each bite was a comforting reminder of home. The "pasteis de bacalhau" transported me back to my childhood, evoking sweet memories of my grandmother’s kitchen.
What sets this place apart is the commitment to quality and freshness. Everything is made from scratch, and you can taste the love in every dish. Mr. Tony graciously showed me around his "lab" (as he called it), and I was impressed by how immaculately clean and organized everything was. It’s clear that they take great pride in their craft.
The food here is simple yet exquisite, showcasing the best of Portuguese cuisine. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic dining experience.

My husband then had the Codfish Pie and I had the Lamb - both were delicious. We were rather full by this time, but couldn't resist the desserts - Apple Pie for my husband and Ice Cream for me. We finished the evening with a lovely coffee. We will certainly...
Read moreWe visited twice during our 7 day stay my partner had the Bacolhou com nata both times and I once . My only regret is not having that cod n potatoes pie both times. The Bacolhou and canary potatoes in garlic oil I had as the alternative was too oily for my taste and contained bones. For dessert it was always apple crumble and ice cream both times as a perfect size portion to share. Authentic Portuguese food at a fair price in a no thrills little restaurant. It's far better than it looks from...
