Read great reviews and walked past a few times on the way into town and it looked great. Owner beckoned us in with a friendly smile but we already had plans so decided to go the next night. We arrived just as a large group arrived, we hung about but the owner didn't see us even though we were stood right in front of the bar so we decided to go for a drink and come back a little later. We did so an hour later, but still not acknowledged. We sat ourselves down and waited to be served. Our Spanish isn't very good and I think it was obvious we were English but the female owner didn't utter a word to us in English, didn't give us the English menu even though there was one (i mention this only because I've read reviews saying they spoke English), so it made ordering quite difficult. I really wanted to enjoy this experience but I'm afraid the husband / wife owners spoilt it for us, they weren't in the least bit friendly, quite cold, didn't seem to be bothered with our business and didn't seem to care that we were there or not. On that basis we shan't return. I have no idea what we did wrong, they were having a laugh with the Spanish patrons next to us. We've never had a problem anywhere else we've eaten so I don't think we came with a bad vibe, I can only put it down to catching them on a bad day (I thought the couple had fallen out with one another initially). Food was ok, but we weren't able to have what we planned because it was mostly sold out (understandable, we arrived at 8.45pm), but the pitas were burnt on one side which they cheekily served us (good side up). Not the experience we'd...
Read moreThis is my first ever review i post on google, but after being disappointed so badly i had to get this off my chest and hopefully stop a lot of other people from eating in this restaurant. After a long day of travel i was feeling like eating a tasty chicken dürüm. I was lured into BOAB by its fancy interior design and its promising looking menue. But except for that nice look of the place, everything was a disappointment! They were out of chicken, so i went for the Tajine. But it tasted like nothing. If i had eaten with closed eyes i would have guessed it was a piece of carboard. Eventhough it tasted like nothing, i was hungry from my travel, but of course the portion was tiny that i could have eaten 2-3 portions. But spending 16 euros for a tiny portion of tajine was way too much money for this restaurant anyway. Since it was almost 10pm in the evening, I rushed out of the place and ran to hiperdino, just to myself some food to stop my anger and hunger. I wish the place reallocates some of its money from the fancy design and hires a some staff...
Read moreSadly, it's one of the worst restaurants I've been to. It looked lovely and the ratings were good... BUT for service: first, we waited very long until they took our order, then they brought the food to the wrong table and didn't even notice until the other table commented on it. After that, they brought us the food over from the other table (forgetting one of the dishes). Then for the food: the amount of food is laughable for the price you pay. I think it was one of the most expensive ones for the least amount of food. Furthermore, the food that we had tasted like nothing.
Luckily, we went for another restaurant after that saved...
