Pitaya cotillo — Restaurant in La Oliva

Pitaya is a lovely cafe/bar. However I wasn't impressed by the food, in comparison to the many other places in Cotillo, there wasn't anything that distinguished the place , the vegetarian arepa was tiny and with salad inside, the same as the salad that I ordered which was a few slices of avocado, cherry tomatoes and bits of rocket salad leaves and it was around 8€. Really not worth the price, I did ask the waitress if she thought this was reasonable for the price and she shrugged. I think to eat there are many other better options in El Cotillo. I do not recommend. We ordered food, nothing that required long preparation (cheese and omelette). we waited almost an hour in the garden, no one brought us food and there were no customers in the premises apart from us. When we went inside, it turned out that all the staff were sitting at the bar, drinking and having a great time. We just paid for drinks and left. We heard no explanation or apology.
