I visited Waikiki Bar in Fuerteventura with three friends, expecting a great time. We entered without any issues, no entrance fee was mentioned, and we bought a few drinks. At some point, we stepped outside to smoke, and when we tried to go back in, we were suddenly told there was a €2 entrance fee. Confused, I asked why, since we were already inside earlier, but I agreed to pay without hesitation. As I was already holding my card, ready to pay, a rude and aggressive bouncer pulled me aside, telling me I didn’t need to pay but instead should leave the queue, leave the bar, and even leave the street entirely. He yelled at me in front of everyone, humiliating me, even though I was already trying to pay! He assumed I was refusing to pay, which wasn’t true at all—I was literally holding my card out to him. When I tried to ask what I had done wrong, he just kept ordering me to leave the street. I calmly pointed out that the street wasn’t his, but he began ignoring me completely. I came all the way from England to enjoy a beautiful vacation, thinking Waikiki would be a great place to spend time, but instead, I was met with the worst treatment imaginable. This experience ruined the rest of my holiday—I genuinely feared that the security guard might even get violent with me. And to make matters worse, another security guard saw the whole thing and just laughed. I have traveled to many places and countries, but this was, by far, the most awful experience I’ve ever had. It was traumatic. I’ve never felt so horrible, and the staff at Waikiki should be ashamed of how they treat their customers.

We ate at Waikiki Beach Bar around 1pm, we ordered two strawberry and pineapple smoothies and the fried squid and crunchy Prawns. We had to get someone's attention for our order to be taken after being there maybe about 15 mins because I think they thought we had already eaten as someone's bill and money had been left on the table. When the food arrived it was super tasty, I don't think the crunchy Prawns were what my friend was expecting, to me they didn't really taste like Prawns, they were in almost like filo pastry with honey drizzled over (which is described as sweet chilli on the menu) but still enjoyable. The smoothies were also good. When it came to paying I asked for the bill which never came so had to ask again which is fine. I feel like sometimes when it's two girls on their own you don't get as good service. Overall, the food was lovely and beachfront location with the option to sit in the shade if you wanted to. Would recommend for lunch.

We didn't spend much time in the restaurant part and mainly went there for the club, drinks were not too bad I'm cost and very good in taste, the bouncer was a very nice guy and welcoming, he chatted to us and even got us a free shot because we took our glasses back to the bar when finished. The music was great and lots of locals in the venue, which I must say is a pleasant thing as they are all really nice, making unwanted touristy behavior of excessive drinking and wanting to fight etc stick out like a sore thumb so no one behaves badly and we only saw good vibes on the two nights we went there. Thursday and Friday nights are the busiest for the club but even during the day the restaurant is crowded with people wanting to enjoy food, drink and the lovely beach. Toilets are super clean and modern, very well designed venue and somewhere you will feel safe and welcomed. I highly recommend you go here if staying in the north of Fuerteventura.

I'll try to keep as short as i can but there was so many things wrong with our experience its going to be hard. Firstly we'd made a reservation which they didn't seem to have when we arrived so first mistake there. The gentleman serving us, on more than 3 occasions, talked to other staff whilst taking our order, even talking over my partner. We ordered cocktails and to be fair these came out pretty quick and were nice. We then ordered food. Menu suggested you got to choose your garnish but this is not true, you can only choose an extra garnish at a cost. Partner ordered a burger and I ordered the Surf and Turf- only asked if I wanted medium or well done, asked for medium rare. Came out reasonably timely. Partner thought his burger was fine but the Surf and Turf was so dreadful I wanted to send it back. Prawns still had the guts, steak was not just well done but crucified, the apparent garlic type sauce was disgusting and half of the chips were raw. I waited for someone to come over to check things were OK. My partner finished his food. We sat. And we sat. Probably about 25 minutes. Until I eventually managed to get the waiters attention (please note it was NOT busy). I really don't like having to send food back so at this point I'm actually just trying to keep a smile on my face when I tell him my problem. He firstly says he doesn't cook the food (well I kinda guessed that) but he did offer me to get something else to which I did. I thought I'd just go for a safe burger instead. Came out in OK time. Wasn't anything special considering it was 12.50 euros and still a couple of the chips weren't cooked but I ate what I wanted. Noone again came over to check if things were OK. After finishing sat for another 15 minutes and still no-one. So we decided to just go up and pay to leave. At the till we asked for the bill, lucky I checked as he'd still tried to charge me for the Surf and Turf and I had to get him to change it!! He didn't apologise or try to make us stay. So all in all, it was dreadful there. Would definitely...

Nice food but appalling service! We were seated and order taken quickly. The food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. But that's were it all went wrong.

Firstly we were not given plates nor cutlery for pur shared dishes across our party of 4. We asked for both and were provided 3 plates, the server was talking to others so we had to get his attention again to ask for a 4th, and the cutlery we had already requested. We were then provided 3 sets of cutlery. Again the server was talking so had to try and get his attention yet again for the still missing plate and missing set of cutlery for the 4th person sat at the table!

We tried to order more drinks during the meal but couldn't get the attention of the wait staff who were all chatting by the ice cream freezer, eventually going to the bar during our meal to ask if someone could take a drinks order. One of the servers apologised and said they would be right over but never arrived.

We finally ordered our drinks after finishing our food and these took another 25 minutes to arrive...in part..two drinks were missing and no staff seemed to be around, we found the drinks ourselves sat on the bar, they had been there quite a while as the ice had almost melted.

We asked for the bill at this stage at risk of not being able to gain any staff attention again and were able to pay when the staff returned with the card machine almost 20 minutes later.

What should have been a quick lunch took over 2 hours due to the slow service. I wouldn't mind if they were busy but they were not. The staff were stood around chatting most of the time, completely ignoring guests.

Another table came in and left after 30 minutes still not having been greeted.

Such a shame that the staff really let this place down. Serious retraining or closer...

This is a bit of a difficult one really - we simply love the location, the vibe and decor of the bar, but the Service is just absolutely atrocious - in 5 holidays we have popped in for a drink and waited forever to even get anyone to notice you!! In the end you just have to go to the bar yourself and then wait for the wait-on staff to 'eventually' bring you your drinks.

We have watched so many people with reserved tables arrive only to find that their reservation has been separated into 3 seats at one table 5 at another (not even close to each other) and even when the customers argued to have tables moved around the food and drinks take forever, and then they get the food wrong!!

We watched 8 people walk out one afternoon because of total lack of attention to - well let's face it - serving customers !!!!

Then there are the till staff, they don't even look at you when you are trying to pay. Quite astonishing really, bearing in mind that that is what they are actually employed to do !!! PAY ATTENTION TO YOU !!!

We 'gently complained' once and the Waiter just shrugged with that well I don't own the bar so what do I care.

So why do we keep going back? Location Location Location. Literally on the Beach. And it's a gorgeous place, but someone GET a GRIP on the SERVICE. Please !!!!

We'll try again in November. Not hoping for much really.

ADDED __ I have just read quite a good number of reviews below this one, Most of them complain about BAD SERVICE and the OWNER always REPLIES that they will 'have a word with the staff so that they can improve'. Well NOTHING has IMPROVED in MONTHS of COMPLAINTS about the SERVICE???

How can this possibly be? It's your...
