Taverna Fogalera — Restaurant in La Oliva

Our new favourite restaurant in Corralejo, beating Sanus, Tantaluna and Marni. Dined here multiple times over the past three weeks. Had the Tuna Tartare, Tuna Tataki, Fillet Steak, Fish Croquettes, Seafood pasta dishes and of course Tiramisu.

Flavours and presentation are very good, we dined in the main dining room each time, not sure if I'd like the Annex beside it. Nice table with view of the harbour and folks walking by. They have seats outside but bear in mind the weather and that a lot of people will be walking by right beside you.

Staff very professional and friendly, white linen on tables, spotless and modern bathrooms.

Recommend the Tuna Tataki and if you are getting the Fillet Steak order the asparagus with quails egg. I also recommend you ask for the mushroom sauce that comes with the tagliata on the side as no sauce accompanies the steak ordinarily.( Something they should probably just do)

Enjoy this for a special occasion or just something a bit more upscale. Looking forward to...

L'ultima sera della nostra vacanza a Fuerteventura, abbiamo deciso di mangiare in un buon ristorante a Corralejo. Abbiamo chiesto in giro , per questa occasione speciale che corrisponde al compleanno di mia moglie, e ci hanno nominato un sacco di ristoranti ma non il Fogalera. Di solito preferiamo affidarci al nostro famelico istinto, e così, girando per la parte vecchia di Corralejo, abbiamo fatto la nostra migliore scelta Partiamo dalla location: è proprio di fronte al porticciolo, con una grande vetrata che dà una bellissima visuale anche se si siede nella parte più interna Servizio: impeccabile dall'ingresso fino all'uscita. Siamo stati portati a braccetto in ogni momento della nostra cena. Ci ha fatto gradita sorpresa la 🕯️ sul dolce di mia moglie 😘 Come si mangia: qui viene la parte più difficile perché non so trovare le migliori parole per dare un'idea della qualità. Comunque: antipasti -io ho preso un ceviche di corvina , mia moglie chipirones en crema ( seppioline su crema di ceci) e già li eravamo stupiti dalla freschezza e dai sapori dell'Oceano. Secondo: raviolo negro ( al nero di seppia con ripieno di branzino) di un delicato sapore di mare. Io..eh! Ho pianto.. la prima volta che ho assaggiato una zuppa di pesce ( qui sopa de pescado ) è stato 30 anni fa ad Ajaccio in Corsica ed ero rimasto deliziato. Non sono più riuscito a trovarne una così buona in giro per il mondo, finché non sono arrivato a questa sera.. ragazzi! Vi consiglio di tuffarvi in questo piatto perché vi lascerà senza parole per come sono gestiti i sapori! Non smetterò mai di ringraziare lo chef e la ragazza che ci ha accompagnato per la cena, che ci ha suggerito le scelte Vino: visto che non siamo riusciti ad andare a Lanzarote, abbiamo scelto la loro Malvasia: anche questa si è rivelata eccezionale per completezza di profumi e sapore ( leggermente fruttato con un buon ritorno di pesca). Dolci : ottima scelta anche per il tiramisù ed il semifrio di amaretti. Il conto ci è sembrato ottimamente adeguato alla qualità del cibo, alla quantità, al servizio e alla location. Lo straconsigliamo se volete una cucina raffinata, mediterranea certamente, con quel tocco magico di Italia che nel cibo non guasta mai. Un'ultima considerazione su recensioni che ho letto: siate sinceri e coerenti perché vedere scritto che il locale è caro quando i prezzi sono esposti nel menù è una pura assurdità! Così come leggere di gente che conta le vongole presenti nel proprio piatto senza fare riferimento alla qualità del piatto è un'altra scusa per essere solo critici senza portare un fondo di verità. A queste persone consiglio i loro Mac..eccetera. I have to say this was by far the best meal we have had in fuerteventura and throughout the canary islands. We had the Pesto and truffle pasta which had squid and prawns which was our favourite meal. Would highly recommend even if pesto isn't your thing. We also had the homemade octopus gnocchi with tomato sauce which again was divine. Could not fault it. They both came out hot. And for starter which I also highly recommend was the tuna tartar which had a beautiful set of flavours with a homemade mayonaise and melted in your mouth.

Lastly we had homemade tiramisu which was the best tiramusu I have had ever. Lastly can't fault the service although it was slightly quick but still top notch service.
