We went to fuerteventura for my partner's, and her Niece's birthdays. We saw this the night before and chose to go have lunch there as it had tex mex/tapas. We also looked at the reviews and it seemed like a good place to go.
We turned up and they were welcoming and got us seated on the deck. They came and took our drink orders which came swiftly.
Then the issues started. They came to take our food order and missed one of the food requests.
The food came around 10/15 minutes after order. One item was missing, the meatballs. Despite asking 3 times and being told it would be out in a couple of minutes, they turned up at the end of the meal, they were not worth waiting for. We've had better out of a tin from Asda (fray bentos).
They somehow undercooked some fries. The fried squid seemed to come with fried plastic on it..although we were uncertain what it actually was. There was a hair in one of the tacos which we did not touch. Each of us passed comment on the taste of the chicken.. wasn't the best. Same went for the burrito. The nachos were shop bought, not homemade and cold when they came. (For comparison, we had nachos from another place further down the sea front. They came hot with chicken, cheese, sour cream etc and were freshly made which was far superior).
I believe the only thing they got right was the cheesy garlic bread.
They did give us a shot each for the birthdays, which was a nice touch. But this came after 3 attempts to get the bill(cheque).
Couldn't fault the atmosphere as it was on the sea front.
Overall, not impressed especially...

Ordered a couple of burgers meat and bread good, sauces on burgers not so much. Too much made it sloppy shame as it spoiled the burger. On to the service once sat down the first drink and order taken promptly (a bottle of wine). No one checked if food was OK and no one asked if we wanted any more drinks, bottle upended in cooler for at least 10 to 15 minutes. After food was finished we tried to attract the serving staff's attention for around 10 to 15 minutes to get another bottle. The frustrating part is it wasn't busy there were at least 20 tables or so that the staff were wiping and chatting to one another without paying any attention as we were waving and trying to get their attention ( its not that big a place ) As it was eventually the young lady who's job it is to get customers into the bar noticed our predicament and went over to the waiting staff to get them to take our second drinks order. All told we spent close to 60 euros and left feeling underwhelmed. Notable that other tables were offered the customary honey rum when only ordering drinks yet for some reason this was not offered. Best advice look after customers and they will look after your business. If the service had been on point it would have been a good tip as it was only tipped a few euro because of the...
Read moreWell what can I say about Sand Beach other than this is the place you want to be when you are on holiday!! With stunning views of Lobos Island and Lanzarote and the turquoise blue sea it’s the perfect place to sit back and relax with a cold drink and something to eat whilst watching the world go by. After a full breakfast this morning I wasn’t feeling particularly hungry until I saw the table next to me have garlic prawns. It wasn’t long before I was ordering them and wow, hands down the best garlic prawns I have had in Corralejo. Juicy, plump prawns with the most delicious flavour, tons of garlic (just as it should be) and a fresh warm bread roll to mop up afterwards. Too many times I have orders garlic prawns and been disappointed with the small, rubbery tasteless ones you’d find in a sandwich but not here. On top of the amazing food is the 10/10 service from the lovely host Alison and Mehdi who are always on hand to ensure you are well looked after, as well as all of the other wonderful friendly staff here. A real gem of...
