Cozy and exquisite bar located next to Santa Ana Cathedral. While taking a seat on the terrace you may expect the ghost of Hemingway popping out from the next table with a glass of daiquiri under nose and a cat on the shoulder. Their list of cocktails is generous and challenging, so it's not easy to pick just one. However, I went for their re-invented Negroni: gin is replaced with mescal and the classic Carpano vermouth is replaced by a local vermouth. It sounded like topping pizza with pineapple, I believe that the skeleton of count Negroni was shaking in the tomb when they modified his classic recipe in this way. Anyway, the result was fantastic. The cocktail came in a tiny bottle filled up with smoke of orange peel, next to a slice of dry tangerine and candied bitter cherries. The scent and taste were out of this world. Easily and by far the best Negroni I have ever had anywhere, and I have had many. It is so good that it alone is enough reason to travel here just to experience the taste. The balance between components is simply perfect, and using that sweet aromatic smoke to add flavour is nothing short of genius. To top all that, those Maraschino cherries with their deep rich flavour take the combination yet to next level. Indisputably a world class drink. Just amazing. We stopped there for a cold soft drink after a long day of walking. The service there is non-existent and the atmosphere outside is not that good. The tables are all squished against each other so you were literally smoking the cigarettes other people were smoking next to you and smothered in their conversations. We had to wait a long time for the waitress to take our drink order and to get the check afterwards. There was no service outside for a very long time so we finally gave up and went inside and paid at the bar. Not a really...
