PININ ETXEA — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Went today at 9:00 pm. It took a long time for the waiter to take our order. When he did, after 20 minutes, he apologized for the delay because they had too many customers that day (more than 20 people ahead of us, as he said) so the wait time for our food will be about 40 minutes more. He made it sound like the wait time was “an act of good” for which they were not responsible. This is not professional. A well managed restaurant would compensate the busy season by having extra staff assisting on special days (Christmas time and such). Needless to say that we left hungry and disappointed. There is a lot of unemployed people in the Canary Islands, couldn’t they have hired extra help...

My experience today (23.04.2025) was dreadful. I’ve spent half my life in Italy, where I’ve enjoyed exquisite seafood and prawns. Here, however, I was served the worst prawns I’ve ever had.

To be fair, a young gentleman was incredibly kind and helped us understand the menu, as there was no English version available. Unfortunately, the food itself was awful.

We left the restaurant both hungry and deeply...

Bueno,por donde empezar…

En principio no tenían carta donde ver lo que tienen y el precio. Nos ofrecieron unos calamares,que madre mía. Blanquecinos,con un rebozado de pena y sobre una cama de lechuga de paquete oxidada. 18€ los calamares…por 8 aros de calamar. Nos ofrecieron zamburiñas (que obviamente sabía yo que no eran zamburiñas sino volandeiras) y menos mal que no las pedí porque luego vi que eran volandeiras,efectivamente. La paletilla de cordero…sin comentarios. El pulpo a la gallega,mal cortado y duro como una piedra,escaso de pimentón y de sal. Los mejillones 7/10 El servicio 6/10 Y cuando fui a decirle a la camarera lo del precio de los calamares,que a todo esto les dije que me sentí bien con el servicio,la señora me dijo que yo tenia que haber preguntado precio…de locos!! Y decirles que,por ley,o sea por obligación,tenéis que tener a disposición del cliente una carta con precios. Me da pena que engañéis y robéis a la gente de esta manera.
