Raffocaccia — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Besides the amazing food, the owner and his wife are wonderful people. We (+wife and son) were tourists staying in the Big Ocean by MyCanarianDream that is right above it and they had only been open a couple/few weeks (didn't even have social media yet). When we first arrived, I forgot the check-in place was not there, and the wife allowed us to use her phone to call the company. Once I got back with the key, there was another problem opening the lock, and she let me use it again. When I finally got in, I was so relieved. During this time, my wife and son had already started eating some of the pizza and focaccia and were loving it. I sat down and ate some and had a (few) beers to cool down and loved every bite. We ate here a few times when we needed something to eat and didn't want to pay high prices in the restaurants further down, and to me the prices were not high for the quality. I hate to say it but this place felt like a tourist trap to me. We ordered pizza and only after we left with it did we realize the pizza is ridiculously small. They also offer pizza slices but I don't see the difference between a slice and a pizza, it's almost the same. I felt deceived as I expected a normal size pizza for this price (7 euro). Worst pizza I've ever had from a fake Italian restaurant, because they can't be for real. Compared to it Domino is is top-notch. The dough is tough, chewy and with a strong flavour of brewer's yeast.
