Cafetería del Real — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The nicest thing is that you get to sit by the beach to eat your breakfast (if you're lucky enough to get a table there, or patient enough to wait). The food was ok, we ordered a sandwich and a warm bocadillo.

The reason for my rating is mostly because the place is self-service and the line can get really long and slow. You also have to come back to get your warm items after a while but there's not really a way to know when exactly they're ready (no buzzer or calling your name).

The breakfast deals they advertise outside might see attractive, but very few of their pulguita are available for the deal, and they are pre-prepared, no way of knowing if they're fresh.

The price is a lot higher than local bar cafeterias because of it's privileged location, but given the price and location, I think a full-service breakfast would be more...

This is a self service establishment. One person serving. Waited patiently while other patrons were served. This took quite a while as they couldn't make up their minds what they wanted. Finally I am next. Girl serving finally acknowledged I was there and said hello. Then she walked away and got some drinks out of the cooler cabinet. At this I walked out in disgust. I had just spent ten minutes queuing for this treatment. I walked into the bakery next door and was acknowledged straight away. Service was excellent. I will not go there again and I will tell my family and friends not to bother going there either. It's all very well having a well presented establishment with lots on offer but if the service is not there it's not...

I have been drinking coffee more than 50 times here. The female employees are super nice, smiling and service-minded. And kind. The male on the other hand.... I was "serviced" by him again today.

Again he was arrogant and had a bad attitude towards me and others. He seems annoyed by the customers (which pay his buisness). He totally rushed things, resulting in a ruined sandwich and coffee which could be better. He should find another job.
