This is where the locals eat! We went there for lunch. To start with we asked for lemonade. They don’t offer it on the menu, but they were happy to make it for us from scratch. No sugar added, just as I would make it. We had Creamy Salmorejo as an appetizer and it was out of this world. So light and all we could taste were fresh tomatoes. We also had Avocado tartrate with prawns and creamy rice with squid and smoked cheese. Squid was lightly grilled and the cheese gave the dish a really nice twist. Avocado tartare had small chopped potatoes wrapped in a cloud of fluffy avocados. For dessert we had Coco, Choco, Curry which was so unexpectedly innovative. Who would have guessed white chocolate, coconut ice cream and curry powder would go so well together? If you want to see the tiniest restaurant kitchen ever peek to the left of the bar. Guys there work so hard in such a small space. Bathrooms are pristine. Only one waitress could speak English, but guess what... Mostly locals were seated indoors and outdoors... if you want local food with a fancy twist,...

Continuing our drizzly tour of Las Palmas, Alberto and Chantal planned to take us to their favorite wine bar that served the best Iberico ham. It was closed. Their second choice was also closed. It was 1400h on a Monday, and it was raining. Were all the Canarians in siesta? We walked by La Florinda, it was open and had Al fresco dining. We are so happy we stopped. Owner (I think he was) was very friendly. Waiter recommended best options in a great selection. We ended up ordering the Fish cooked with 40 garlic heads, octopus, fish carpaccio, fried cheese, artichoke with ham, and what I think is better than Iberico ham…Beef Ham! We had two bottles of a very drinkable Protos, a vino tinto that had good legs and floral notes. We sat there eating and drinking and chatting and laughing and catching up. We are so glad their favorite restaurants were closed because now we found a...

The food really good but the service not so much... the waiter did some inapropriate comments and made fun of us when we asked for a picture. At the end they included extra water in the bill and wanted to charge us for the bread ( not included in the menu)... too bad for the...

Fantastic dishes and service. The portion sizes aren't massive but in line with what you would expect for high quality, well cooked food. The service was fantastic. No, they don't speak a lot of English but I don't speak Spanish, and their warm smiles and actions definitely bridged the gap.

I wish I could try more dishes. Better go there with bigger company to order many things and share. Sadly they don't serve half portion as its somehow common in other places, and all of their dishes are "mains", so waiter didn't recommend me taking two.
