We came because of the high Google rating and are thrilled we did. There were traditional Spanish dishes (e.g., wonderful leg of lamb) as well as creative twists on traditional Spanish seafood. Every dish was superb. The presentation of my cod dish was particularly beautiful. The best surprise was that the plating sauces (which, in the US, typically are more for show than flavor) were delicious with the fish. We've been twice now. Service is friendly and helpful. Take Miguel's recommendations, if he offers any.

The restaurant is within sight of the bull ring and an easy walk from Malagueta beach or the city center We are in Malaga on an extended trip and eat out every night -- you don't want to miss it. It was so good, we went back for lunch...

Miguel is rude and ruined our meal. We went in for a late lunch on Sunday after spending a few hours at the beach. The restaurant was mostly empty. Miguel ignored us for 30 minutes before he finally gave in and took our order. He made sure to roll his eyes at us when we asked any questions. We should have taken the hint and left, but we were tired from walking. We ordered the most expensive steak on the menu. Miguel dropped it at the table and then disappeared for an hour. He never came back to check on us or get us more water or drinks. The steak was good, but we were pretty upset at the terrible service. Who wants to eat a $80 steak with no drink? Miguel ruined our meal that we paid a lot of money for. I would not recommend eating...

Terrific meal. The artichokes starter was excellent. My husband had chickpea and tripe stew which he loved. And then we shared sucking lamb. It was delicious. I also ordered chips which were so good. Miguel seems a bit gruff at times but it’s his restaurant and he wants you to sit where he says. We didn’t reserve so we happily moved. When it came to dessert I explained about my lactose intolerance and made me a delightful sorbet and vodka kind of whipped concoction served in a glass with a straw. There was a lot of Vodka. I am a cheap drunk so floated home. My husband had fig ice cream which he ummed and awed through We found the service attentive and friendly So all in...

The food is incredible, the service is really friendly even though we couldn't speak Spanish, everything went smoothly and I would definitely come back. It's a small local restaurant with roughly 10 tables so expect to wait or reserve a table in advance. Feel free to ask for their recommendation and they won't disappoint you at all. I had the monkfish with clams and it totally blew my mind. My boyfriend had baby lamb legs and it was also amazing. Love their hot brownie with chunks of nuts and vanilla ice-cream, a perfect way to end our meal.

Small, cozy Spanish restaurant meters away from the Plaza de Toros. It serves very traditional Spanish food, but not food from Malaga like the other restaurants. You'll find specialities from Madrid and the north of Spain, like Cocido or Fabada. It's not cheap, but the quality and quantity are really high. The waiters and staff and friendly, don't be scared to ask them what this group are. There's only about 10-15 tables, so make sure to reserve in advance. Ask for what's off the menu - it's often much better :-)
