Cafetería Flor — Restaurant in Málaga

Absolutely terrible experience at Cafeteria Flor this morning. We came in for breakfast and were completely ignored for over 25 minutes — not even handed a menu. I raised my hand several times trying to get a waiter’s attention, and nobody bothered to acknowledge us. Meanwhile, Spanish customers who arrived well after us were greeted and served right away. Seriously?

When we finally managed to place our order, the food came after about 10 minutes — fine. But again, when we wanted to pay, we had to practically chase the staff down just to get the bill. Not a single waiter looked our way or showed the slightest interest in helping us unless we made a scene.

It honestly felt like they just didn’t care about serving anyone who isn’t local. The whole experience was incredibly disrespectful and unwelcoming. If you’re not Spanish, don’t expect decent service...

If I could rate less than 1 star, this place would deserve it. A disaster from start to finish! We ordered the drinks, in Spanish - waitress brought us 2 of the wrong drinks even though she had repeated the order back to us correctly. We ordered a seafood paella and she brings us a chicken paella with no explanation. We let her know we had ordered the seafood then she says, yes but this is all we have! We ask her nicely to take it back, thought we would try again. Made an order, after 5+mins she comes back and said they don't have any left. Ok. Get the menu again, order something else and then she brings the original thing that we had ordered that she said they didn't have!! We saw groups of people arrive and leave because no one served them. There are certainly way better options in...

Just arrived in Malaga from Seville this afternoon and checked in to a hotel close by. Intended to walk into the centre to find somewhere to eat, but saw this café and decided to stay more local.

A couple of tapas dishes, glass of rosé wine and a coffee were delicious and so reasonably priced. My Spanish language capability is basic so when I received different tapas to those which I had ordered, I had trouble explaining, but the mistake was corrected speedily.

There seemed to be one waitress serving the whole place, being helped to deliver the food by another lady who was at the counter inside. She worked so quickly and efficiently and there really was a lot of customers!...
