So, we popped into this place enticed by the idea of twirling some good pasta on our forks, and initially, things seemed great. The waitresses were super sweet, attentive, and got us settled at a table pronto.

Now, here’s where the plot twists. Even though a nice waitress had seated us, the owner or manager (not sure which cap he was wearing) decided to throw a mini tantrum. Apparently, he missed the part where we were led to our table and started going off about how we should’ve asked permission before “planting ourselves on the chairs.” His words, not mine.

I was floored by this dude’s outburst. And it didn’t stop at us— he was dishing out the same nasty attitude to the waitresses too. It was like watching a storm cloud roll through, except with a lot of shouting and a face turning fifty shades of red.

The pasta? Yeah, it was good. The service from the waitresses? Top-notch. But the welcome from the owner was colder than a frozen meatball. It’s just messed up to see someone treat their staff and customers like that.

I’m dropping this review because people...

After receiving such horrible service & being so upset at the restaurant we went to before, we decided to walk around the corner & saw this little restaurant! We came in, & service was absolutely amazing. The pasta is made fresh, the server & cook are the most friendliest people you could ever meet & our night was turned around to an amazing night! The prices at this restaurant are unbeatable considering the service they provide with it as well & the food was top notch. Our Prosecco was crisp & perfection! I recommend the bolognese, it was the most delicious dish I have ever tasted. The staff does not expect much but a 0,50€ service fee but because of their amazing & friendly service & fresh & top notch pasta’s, you’ll want to tip so much more! They are all so humble here which makes to experience that much better. Get there early, because when we had paid our bill, a line was building which is understandable because this place is that great! If I could give this restaurant more stars I would! Love this & definitely...

Very Nice Surprise - Delicious Pasta Meal. We are staying in Malaga for a week so we looked online and we decided to try Spago’s. Fortunately they had a table open when we got there. I ordered Pasticciata and my wife and the other couple ordered Frutti di Mare. The bowls hold just the right amount of food. Three of us finished our meals but it was more than enough for my friend’s wife. We all ordered the spaghetti which is very similar to pici pasta served in Tuscany. The spaghetti was sauced perfectly, not too much and it had great flavor. My Pasticciata was presented beautifully with cream crossing over the spaghetti and sauce. My wife did say her Frutti di Mare was delicious also. The food and the beverages were very reasonably priced and our server, Melita, did a wonderful job taking our orders and serving us since we don’t speak much Spanish. Spago restaurant in Málaga was a delightful experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, the extensive menu posed a delightful challenge with its tempting variety. Fortunately, Fernanda's attentive service made navigating options like three types of pasta a breeze, adding a personalized touch to the dining experience. The cozy ambiance and welcoming decor added to the restaurant's charm. The pricing was also fair, especially given the prime location in Málaga. However, due to the restaurant's popularity and limited tables, there were occasional long queues. Despite this inconvenience, the wait was unquestionably worthwhile once the food arrived, as it met expectations with its flavors and impeccable presentation. Spago comes highly recommended to anyone visiting Málaga for a beautiful taste of Italian cuisine with satisfying portions.

Delicious freshly made pasta, and the tiramisu was a great way to finish the meal. It is also so yummy, and one of the best that I ever had. This is a very small Italian restaurant, with only 4 tables outside and a couple of benches inside and it is highly popular with both locals and tourists alike and for good reason. Their pasta is fresh and delicious and the service is top notch. Dasha, who was serving the tables, is so friendly, warm, efficient, and quick to take the order and to serve it. The price is also very budget friendly. Great Italian pasta, great service, and an excellent price make this restaurant a definite place to return to, especially if you are a pasta lover like me!
