This place is a little gem. We had noticed that there were two tiny and delightful balconies on the first floor, but every time we walked by, they were occupied. After being in Malaga for two months, it was during Semana Santa and our very last day before returning home. We were looking to find somewhere to have a light snack and a glass of tinto vino. The ground floor is a tapas pub/bar, and it was packed as usual with patrons. Upstairs, there is a lovely restaurant, and there was a free balcony, so we rushed to get it and got lucky. It is very romantic and would be so nice on a warm evening for dinner. We only wanted something light to eat, so we ordered a large portion of eggplant, which was so good and a bottle of wine. (I would stay away from the rabo de toro--I've had better elsewhere an it did not detract from an otherwise...
Read moreBar Malaga offers a taste of traditional Spanish tapas at reasonable prices within the heart of the historic city center. The tomato with tuna was a delightful, revitalizing choice, while the flavorful meatballs left a lasting impression. However, the artichoke dish was marred by its dry and chewy texture, requiring an accompanying condiment to enhance the experience.
The attentive service provided a pleasant touch, although an unexpected charge of €3 for unrequested bread was disconcerting. Thankfully, this issue was promptly resolved upon communication.
A commendable highlight was the waitress's kindness in accommodating the need to charge a phone, exemplified by her willingness to do so in...
