I wanted to leave a review since several of the reviews were not favorable. I lived in Madrid for several years and I was back visiting with a ton of American family. I wanted to go to one of the Michelin star restaurants but 8 extra people decided to tag along and that became impossible so we ended up looking for another place that could accommodate a large group. After some prayer and letting go we ended up here. I was already disappointed and not expecting much but I was really impressed. I was the only Spanish speaker in the group but our waitress did speak English and dealt with my crazy American family with tons of patience and kindness. Secondly we had some absolutely amazing dishes. My family didn’t think they would like the Rabo Del Toro Risotto- but it was so good we ordered more. I should mention we had some very discerning palettes with us. it’s been a few months so trying to remember everything we ordered- but I remember the hummus was really good. Also the Gyozas were great- and one of my family members asked for Soy sauce much to my embarrassment because the Gyozas came with an amazing curry sauce… although to be fair she ordered tv wait sauce before trying what they came with. The waitress brought soy sauce no questions asked. And after bringing it- that person tried the curry sauce they came with and thought it was wonderful. We also got one of the Arroz(rice dishes). It was good. We got a bunch of desserts- all were great. My husband really liked the Torrija. And after all of the people asking for crazy things and lots of people talking at the same time(aka we were a handful), the waitress brought us complimentary chupitos(shots of liqueur). She asked what kind and gave me some options so I ordered an assortment for the group to try. Limoncello, crema de Orujo, there was a white Orujo- it was clear - and the only one I didn’t like and had never tried before. Hierbas(herby liqueur), Pacharan(but I may not have ordered this one bc I don’t like it). Anyway- everyone had a favorite and it worked out great and was a lovely surprise.
I know we ordered more food but I can’t remember what else. The Rabo del Toro risotto is a must order! Do...
