We visited on an impromptu Sunday and despite all the tables being reserved the barman went out of his way to squeeze us in. He was cheerful and welcoming, offered to explain the menu to us and put up with our infuriatingly bad Spanish so we could get in some practise. We ordered some mushroom pkhali and they were heavenly, along with an aubergine dish and some dips both served with fried bready dumplings I could eat by the bucket load. The cheesy bread with egg came up last and it was everything you’d envision it to be. Unfortunately I was already stuffed and we’d just finished our carafe of a delicious red so we boxed it up to take home. There will be a return visit to try out the rest of the menu and I will defiantly be reordering the mushroom pkhali.
Value for money? Yes Would I go back? Yes, with an appetite High point? Both waiters were accommodating, friendly, and just generally nice. Low point? I was so full of pkhali I didn’t have room for...
Read moreThis is a lovely restaurant with fantastic food, atmosphere and service. I've never had Georgian food before, so I didn't really know what to expect. I came in blind, but the staff took the time to explain the food they offer and the menu was organized in a very easy to understand manner. We picked each of the recommended dishes and they were all incredible! The food is very rich, with interesting and unexpected spice and ingredient combinations. We also tried all three of the cakes, my favorite being the honey cream layer cake. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming as well. I will say that yes, the pricing is a bit high, but I think it is completely justified for the effort and expertise of these dishes. The place is obviously popular and very well-run. I felt that it was worth the price. Highly...

The food was a delight: — Khinkali with thin dough, juicy meat filling, and flavorful spicy adjika — haven’t had ones this good in a long time. — Adjarian khachapuri with real Georgian cheese that has a characteristic tang. — Pkhali — fresh and tasty, with a few varieties on the menu. — For dessert, we had medovik — delicate, not overly sweet, nicely soaked.
The wine list is small but very well curated. Great selection of orange wines (mostly from Valencia) and a few Georgian bottles. A place worth visiting even just for a glass of wine and a snack.
The owner is a lovely Georgian woman. The whole experience felt very warm and heartfelt — definitely a place to...
