DOSIS CAFE — Restaurant in Madrid

It's a really nice place but the guy with the beard who served me this morning needs am intensive course in customer service! When I entered he was preparing a coffee but no "good morning" or even an acknowledgement of my presence, so I went to take a seat. He then went to the back for something, making me wait to place my order, walking past me again without even a hello or an acknowledgement of my presence. When he finally came back (by which time 2 more customers had come in and formed a queue), he said to me simply "I can only take your order at the till.", forcing me to get up when he had made me wait. And then when I got up to go to the till, he served first one of the clients who had come in after me. I collected my bag and left. If you come to a nice place like this with good coffee and high prices, a smile and being warmly treated is included in the price, it's not an extra. I will never go back there as he ruined my good mood and there are plenty of other nice coffee shops...

I wanted to come to Madrid to visit DOSIS from 2022 I and finally did! If you come, expect nothing less of a perfectly crafted cup of coffee with a matching musical background. They have curated an amazing selection of coffees varying in origins, toasting process, smells and flavours; a specialty coffee enthusiast's paradise. You'll probably leave this place with a few cups drank and a few bags of coffee beans for home. If you're lucky enough to get served by Mauricio make sure to ask about your coffee or coffee in general, he's a mix between a coffee encyclopedia and an artisan. I'm also taking back to Barcelona a few portions of the pear and lavender cake, because I'd regret not to Haha. Bottom...

Great ambiance, drinks, and even a cute area to sit with tables which was nice to escape the heat indoors. I was able to get some drinks and sit to get some writing done since there were tables (also has Wi-Fi and a very clean bathroom). Will definitely be back! I have to try more of their drinks and even the food next time 😍
