Fundación Casa de México en España — Attraction in Madrid

I really love Casa de México for its workshop and very good cultural presentations / exhibitions. Unfortunately, due to its popularity, it is also too crowded and demanded. Once for example, we reserved seats for a movie for children. At the end, we were 5 families refused despite having a ticket. As there was not enough place for everyone. Fortunately, Casa de México offered new places for their Christmas show, so it was positive.

For the October/November period, it is also very difficult to take tickets for the specific activities for El día de los muertos (Catrina mask, skull painted, etc...). Usually people panick a lot and make the app crashes.They send also a newsletter but I can't usually access as the tickets are already sold out for family activities (problem of timing amd communication too late). Today I saw that the exhibition in this cultural espace from Mexico is very interest and in the afternoon I went in the Fundación, as was told to me by a gentleman, today the exhibition is only for invited people today. Which is absolutely normal and I really went in a day that is not open to the public. But thats not the point of my coment here. The point is that the moment I put my feet inside, a security person come to me and asked me in a VERY RUDE way where I am going and with which person I am with. Without a hello, without a good afternoon, not with the level of politeness I expect from someone working in a door of a foundation that represents a country. You should train your employees better to treat the public with more politeness. I was treated as someone that could represent some danger and...

I have never been to a museum about Mexico and what I know is from TV and a few books. The museum was interesting with some really pretty pieces. The Dia de Los Muerto exhibit/pieces were colorful and beautiful. What I missed were some explanations in English about items and maybe about the traditions. Also more indications of where to go. It was a little confusing at first.

The Frida Kahlo exhibition wasn't at all for me. It was really expensive and I didn't like the art. Because the indications were so confusing, I didn't know I had paid for the exhibit until it was too late, otherwise I never would...
