I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sal y Chili an Indian gem nestled in the heart of Madrid. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was in for a treat.
The ambiance was warm and inviting, beautifully capturing the essence of India with its vibrant colors and authentic decor. The attentive staff greeted us with genuine smiles, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food! Every dish was a masterpiece, a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. The menu boasts a diverse selection of traditional Indian dishes, each prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. The spices were perfectly balanced, allowing the true essence of Indian cuisine to shine through.
We started with the Samosa, a delightful blend of flavors that awakened our taste buds. The Chicken Madras was a true highlight, with tender and succulent meat bathed in a rich, aromatic curry that left us craving for more. The naan bread was the perfect accompaniment, freshly baked and served piping hot.
What truly sets Sal y Chili apart is the commitment to authenticity. The chefs clearly take pride in presenting dishes that stay true to the roots of Indian cooking. It's evident that only the finest and freshest ingredients are used, resulting in a dining experience that transports you straight to the streets of India.
The service was impeccable throughout the evening. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The pace of the meal was just right, allowing us to savor each dish without feeling rushed.
To top it off, the dessert menu was a delightful surprise. We indulged in the Bolitas de leche, a sweet conclusion to our culinary adventure. It was the perfect way to end an already exceptional meal.
In conclusion, Sal y Chili is a true gem for anyone seeking an authentic Indian dining experience. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Indian cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore new flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit. The combination of warm hospitality, exquisite flavors, and a charming ambiance make it a standout choice for an unforgettable culinary journey. Read moreI believe I just went there for the 4th (maybe 5th) time in a couple of months. I like to eat out, but I don’t usually repeat places that often. I’m only saying that to stress that this place is pretty solid and I really enjoy going there. We’ve tried all the entrées and they are all delicious. I would especially recommend the Samosas. When it comes to seconds, we’ve tried a few, but there’s a lot of options in there, so it might take a while to completely go over all of them (That doesn’t mean I don’t intend to do so). The Tikka Masala is our favorite, and if you like spicy food, the Vindaloo here’s pretty good too. Not as spicy as I’d like it to be, but still, pretty decent. They have the usual Nan and white rice, which are nice, but nothing worth going on about. Something that I would like to point out though is that they have the best pistachio kulfi I’ve ever had in Spain. Amazing texture and amazing taste. I really recommend you give it a shot. Service is super friendly and they usually have a pretty big discount on food prices. If you live or are staying around the area, I’d say you can’t go wrong...
